Do you have any lesbian miso headcanons you'd be willing to share? They're very dear to me and I loved the first chapter! Ur jsng felt so real and mnh was really enigmatic and alluring through her perspective!
omg yes! and trust i am still working on chp 2 but its currently finals season (or... summative assignment season) for my masters program so she's on pause while i crash out over those LOL
hmmm... for me PERSONALLY... i very much headcanon:
1. confident but unhinged goldstar lesbian (not the biggest fan of this term but i didn't make it up) minhee..,, i think minhee has the gaydar of the gods and can spot a fellow lady lover from a continent away.
2. minhee is obsessed with making jisu squirm.
3. minhee is bad at spooning bc she WILL immediately grab jisu's boobs so if they're cuddling they have to face each other (even though then she'll just grab her ass instead)
4. i think lesbian jisu is a pillow princess and minhee eats that shit up (literally aldskfjalkdjf) that just whines and squirms because "women make her nervous!!!"
5. lesbian jisu is so attracted (although in dhmwc she doesn't quite realize it yet) to femininity as a whole. like she just thinks womanhood/girlhood are such beautiful things and THAT is her justification for staring at hot women ("it's admiration!" said 20 year old mia pre-sexuality crisis)
god knows i have more somewhere but im answering this before coffee <3 thank you for reading and being patient with me!!!
Hi, i was wondering if u had any tips for learning Chem! Im taking the second intro to chem course and I did the last one 3-4 yrs ago. Im nervous about labs😖
A CHEM QUESTION!!!!! omg yes I absolutely have tips!! (also... if you ever have questions, feel free to send em here or dm me ;) )
1. the hardest thing, in my opinion, about chem2 is that you go from a lot of theory in chem1 to practice in chem2. this depends on how they split up the content across semesters, but you often do a LOT more math in chem2 -- so it's super easy to forget the actual chemistry happening behind the numbers. put in the extra effort to really understand the concepts so you don't get lost in the math!
2. do LOTS of practice problems! and when you do them, make notes next to each one (short and sweet) about what concepts the question is asking you to utilize. you want to get familiar with the actual problem-solving side of chemistry, but in doing so, you want to continue tying theory to practice the whole time. this will help you build intuition! for example, if you're doing a titration calculation w/ LOTS of strong acid added to a weak base, you should build enough intuition to look at your calculated pH and decide if it's a reasonable answer or not. When you get to this stage, you'll start to catch mistakes without even knowing what they are and can start the problem over!
3. fail, fail, fail -- and learn from it every time! with more problem-oriented chemistry, don't be discouraged by getting a question wrong. Ask yourself WHY that's wrong with respect to the chemistry behind it -- if you add strong acid to weak base, why doesn't it make sense to have a neutral or high pH? What about the chemistry itself tells you that's incorrect? This will help you IMMENSELY. What sets apart students who do well in a class for a semester as opposed to those who walk away with long-term retention is this right here! When you learn why a wrong answer is wrong with respect to the concepts and math alike, your understanding of the right answer will be so much deeper.
4. teach someone all of your concepts! trust me, you will learn VERY quickly how much or how little you understand the moment you try explaining it to someone (bonus if it's someone who isn't taking the class, so you have to break it down even more). If you can't teach a concept simply and effectively to someone with no foundation in the subject, you don't understand it as well as you think.
5. Most importantly... don't be too hard on yourself! Chemistry is hard, but it's super fun. Find exciting and nerdy applications to each concept to keep the fascination alive when topics get tough. Good chemists aren't good chemists because they know everything -- they're good chemists because they ask questions, stay curious, and experiment/play around with the rules of the science. Chemistry is everywhere around you, literally, so start spotting it in your every day life and asking how the coursework relates! You'd be surprised how many places you can find it <3
Wishing you lots of luck in chem2!! you'll rock it :) and if you ever have chem-related questions, don't hesitate to reach out! i was on a college teaching team for 5 years and ran a demonstrations lab for another 2... so i've been around it quite a bit!
Hi! I was wondering if u had any advice for people who are just getting into writing fics and also if u had any wips u r excited about. Also i love your writing!
aw, tysm! i did deactivate my twt, but i've reactivated it for a few days so hopefully you'll see this reply! I have a few pieces of advice I'd offer, but remember that everyone is different!
Most importantly, write for fun! Write what you love, what you hate, what bores you and what excites you. All of it is valid so long as you keep writing.
As for wips... I just started grad school, so I'm not sure that I'll really have time for any fics any time soon LMAO. I am developing a concept for a novel, though, and I am quite excited about that! It revolves around Irish folklore/myth, and will be FULL of angst (ofc... who's surprised). If I do have time, I'm hoping to maybe revisit my idea for lesbian miso with lit nerd "pretty sure im straight" jisu x unhinged yearning lesbian cheerleader minhee <3
Hi! I was wondering if you tend to read similar fics to what you write either in terms of characterizations, genres or aus. Are there any sorts of fics that you love reading but you dont think you'd ever write? Anyways I love your writing, especially iwcismitd
ahh this is a great question! and tysm for the love <3 honestly, I don't know that any fics I read are necessarily similar, but I enjoy reading fics that are descriptive, emotion and/or plot-driven, and poignant in some way. I don't think I'd ever read a greek mythology fic, nor a classical musician one, but I think what would connect my writing preferences to my reading preferences lies more in style than content. For example, I'd had the fic idea for IWCISMITD for a long time, but sat on it until a fic I read inspired me -- MFA by hyunnies! It wasn't the plot though. In that fic, both Minho and Jisung are writers -- and the author includes snippets of their writings in the story. Those are what struck me. The style was captivating and had this sort of muted magical realism to certain parts with visceral descriptions and metaphors. And I was so seriously enchanted by the skill and style -- the poignancy of what Jisung in MFA would write, the way he'd describe desire, anxiety, and other emotions that he or his characters felt... that was awesome. So although fics like MFA are totally different plot-wise (with the exception of a professor/student thing going on), the style is what drew me in and I've always liked employing those same elements to achieve similar goals with my own works.
As for types of fics I love reading but don't think I'd ever write, gosh there are so many! With where I'm at in my writing journey, I'm very wordy and descriptive (almost obsessively so) -- and that's fine, though it won't efficiently achieve every goal for every style of story out there. Areas I wish I could write, but don't think I quite have the capability to (for now), include comedy/crack fics, fluff fics (like no angst LOL), tropes like enemies to lovers (tried in a fuoco but the YEARNING WAS TOO STRONG) and established relationship (I don't even read those -- I want to SO badly, but I'm too selfish and want to see the entire build of a pairing's relationship because I crave the tension and crescendo), and maybe even smut. Writing smut for the first time felt like pulling teeth and I'd love to be more confident and comfortable writing it because I LOVE reading it, but I embarrass myself somehow...
I wanted to ask what do you think about kinsung drew you in?
i think that minsung have a quiet chemistry about them that's really undeniable. there's a safety and comfort in the way they exist around each other, and it's a dynamic I really admire!
naneunvin uses chatgpt to write their fics
...what?
miaaaa!! is there anything ur looking forward to work on this year? :)))
my love!!! hellooo ~ hmm... maybe my lesbian miso fic sitting in my drafts? i'm feeling very inspired by the song 'shy' by renee rapp for them rn...
