Im back with more chem questions! Im surviving okay so far and have come to enjoy chem a bit! But the lab really stresses me out and makes me feel stupid so I was wondering if you had any tips for the lab portion?

ahhh chemistry!!! i am so glad to hear you've come to really enjoy it so far! and as for lab... it sort of depends on what part of it you're struggling with? but don't feel stupid -- lab is hard! not only is it hard, but chemicals can be finnicky and so things can quite easily go sideways even when you understand the concepts perfectly. there's a lot we can't reasonably control for.

come back and tell me what in particular you're struggling with (or dm me)! otherwise, my biggest piece of advice for lab is to take as many notes as possible. the more of a detailed eye that you have with what is going on around you, the better you can become at predicting what things may introduce error, what may influence expected/predicted outcome, etc. (for example -- did the glassware look foggy? and then your experiment didn't run as expected? could there have been contamination then?)

don't be stressed out by lab! lab is where you get to prove to yourself what you're learning in real time. it's there to help you, not to hurt you ;)
