sometimes people draw them really pretty and i think pretty art is pretty art so ❤️ but concept wise i’m sorry i do not fw it.. i can stand behind jock till tho but like, not in a stereotypical jock way (some goes to ivan i dont agree with many fanon interpretations but its another story), not in the way ivan is either, like, he still needs to be an outsider, awkward introvert and an artist… i dont like him being a popular cool surrounded by everyone guy that’s just not him. also i dont think he would be into amercian football or any team sport in general, i think he is too much of an individualist. i can imagine some solo sport, he canonically runs fast so maybe sprinter idk. i think people don’t like sports and till much and i kinda see why but also he has a good stamina and he is very competitive, there is a potential imo. like not what i usually go for in aus but i’ll defend that one. i do have a beef with emo ivan though 😭😭 like it runs deep okay /lh i’ve been in fandom much before jockemo au has existed and since ivan wears black and is. idk sad. people were often calling him
emo and of course it’s not a serious issue but internally i’ve always been a bit annoyed with that and i remember talking with my oomfs few times about it not making sense and that if anything till would be emo😭 so when that au dropped ive felt so validated and i was like yay omg maybe ppl will stop calling ivan emo now.. and then people started to swap them and make ivan emo😭 which they have right to of course its not that srs and ppl always make swap aus but it made me roll my eyes and sigh a bit. i do like some fan designs though and i think i like it more than i initially did but still.. idk personally i just think being emo really doesn’t fit ivan because he is so focused on appearances and fitting in and being „normal” and liked by everyone so i don’t think he would be alt in the first place and emo subculture is so connected to emotion and showing your pain and it’s just really not ivan for me… I do enjoy alt ivan though but like. in a band au way… where he gets into alt stuff and self-expression thanks to till… even then i prefer him as goth tbh but sometimes i see emo ivan and shamelessly imagine him as band ivan bshdjjs. but yeah i dont mind it that much idk it just feels too unrealistic for me but whatever makes ppl happy ig i dont super hate for this au either i saw ppl get really mean over that as if people dont make swap aus all the time or as if, respectfully, many „normal” jockemo characterizations arent just as ooc idk. lets just have fun

Yes I’m afraid I am with you on this :( I do adore seeing fanarts of them being together in anakt garden because it’s really cute, but realistically is hard for me to imagine. Their miscommunication goes so deep and I believe that it is their traumas from before they even got into Anakt Garden that has shaped that and then with every argument, every hurt, it only got worse. Idk they make me so sick because despite that all, we know that a small thing could change it. Like in qna Vivinos said that a lot could have been different if Ivan have known about Till drawing him… and it seems like such a little thing but like, the fact Till didn’t show him these drawings its also important, the shyness, embarassment, fear of Ivan’s reaction, of Ivan’s negative words, of rejection, it all is so important to Till’s character and is also dependant on his circumstances and trauma… I kinda feel like only accident could save them, like, Ivan accidentally seeing it (though I’m not sure if it would be enough for Ivan to take ang initiative and if he told Till he saw and if he told him that in a way that wouldn’t lead to an argument..?) or Till accidentally seeing Ivan at his low. But even there, I’m not sure. They have just so many fears, the tendencies to back away. They can’t even ask the other if they’re okay like omg the most useless gay people in the universe I am so sad. Idk. Even their first meeting, the flowercrown fight, have set their dynamic in such unbenefical way for them. Like I dont think their personalities clash, I mean, they do, but not in the “they dont fit each other and could never work out” way because I think if they communicated they could be so perfect for each other but I there’s just too many reasons as to why they couldn’t communicate to me like. they really are tragic😭

YA THANKS and you are right, I think there’s just something appealing about till being the only person he would bottom for and it being his first time bottoming ever (tho again i rarely hc that since im not rrly into the concept of them not being each other’s firsts / ivan x anyone else) but I can for sure see it that way too and you are ofc right that its possible to do that without leaving yourself vulnerable! For me I wouldn’t say that my tiiv preference doesn’t have much to do with bottom ivan bc it for sure does I like it for many reasons but yeah I dont see him as just being one as in, it being fixed, part of identity(?) i have.. lots i think.. though honestly many of them are very lore / backstory related and i try not talk too much because i wanna write fic one day even though realistically idk if i will but 🥹 but from the hcs that are more. hcs rather than story and not that heavy, some of top of my mind
- one detail about offical band au art that i like is how till’s guitar still looks like freddie so i always imagine till using some old guitar and redying and designing it himself. i think he gets attached to objects in general so he also just. named it. for some time ivan have thought till has a dog named freddie whenever till mentioned it until it started to be a bit confusing and them he realized. he teases till a bit about it but actually finds it cute ❤️
- this works a bit better in genderbend but i think its the case for yaoi too, i think till is good at alt make up but ivan sucks at it so till just does it for him always, you know, like that one famous wlw pic… they get flustered a lot ❤️
- i totally see them as indie and independent i think they would want to stay away from industry and do everything themselves, its especially important to till, which ivan finds very admirable and inspiring… although ivan has more realistic approach and they sometimes argue about that. not that ivan wants to change till’s vision, he doesn’t want to be under agency either, but till tends to be impulsive, take risks and overwork himself too much. while ivan loves this part of him too, especially that, minus overworking part, its so contrasting to the way ivan is and. of course ivan likes that about till, it also makes him worried and annoyed (which he shows in a very ivan passive agressive mr know it all way so ofc it also pisses till off). also ivan takes care of the financial and promotional stuff, obviously.
- shotgun kisses🤤 till smokes, he’s been smoking even before he met ivan, you know, life wasn’t easy, stress response and all, it became a habit, even though he is better now (not that he doesn’t have issues, of course). it also worries ivan and he often reminds till that its bad and that he will ruin his voice and shit but also he finds that hot yeah. they get freaky.
- till writes more lyrics, naturally, but ivan slowly tries too. not that till requires that from him, but more, encourages. its not easy for ivan, looking into his feelings, writing it, he sometimes ends up dissociating, sometimes really doesnt want to show it and destroys, sometimes its just. not possible. but gradually it becomes easier and even cathartic

- i like to think ivan plays piano, which like, obviously not really on stage, not this genre (though i think they would record piano version of some song too..) but idk. they just have piano in their room. and sometimes ivan plays it and sings some ballad and it helps till relax and fall asleep often <3
