i read the manga for a time and got bored. HOWEVER i know from dear friends who have read the light novels it gets really good but i really truly couldn't muster a ton of interest in some high schoolers fucking around with basic sex stuff. been there done that y'know haha. i bet i would find the college content more interesting but i was just kinda bored of how passive the main characters were in what i read. lotta thoughts in their heads but not much at all being conveyed. sleepy stuff, y'know.

It's like the poster child of doomed yuri but the problems could've absolutely been solved if an older butch woman had just walked into the narrative and been a bit of a supportive influence at the dames lowest point. In contrast, I think Mona would try her very fucking hardest for Schneider and Vertin, but the metaphysics of it all being rather inescapable would leave her tragically unable to avert it despite putting literally every effort into keeping them together.
