LOVE THIS! For doomed yuri I honestly think that Mona could've averted the tragedies of Kitakawa. It's like the poster child of doomed yuri but the problems could've absolutely been solved if an older butch woman had just walked into the narrative and been a bit of a supportive influence at the dames lowest point. In contrast, I think Mona would try her very fucking hardest for Schneider and Vertin, but the metaphysics of it all being rather inescapable would leave her tragically unable to avert it despite putting literally every effort into keeping them together.
