Now that my Religion fic is done, in your opinion should I try to get back on track and work on the missed dates.. or cut the losses and work on the ones I already have planned out and try to fit the back-dates into the upcoming fics?

Wei's beginning as a human started back with Father Lin (Chi Cheng's great Uncle). Lin Baulo is the Chinese-ification (whatever) for Saint Paul.
Wei killed Father Lin (and the other Priests he remained close to) the nagging call of the cicadas drove them all insane.. the call was both a warning that Satan was near, and so was death.
Wei took a year away between deaths to mentally fix all paperwork and realign memories, so that it would never be questioned why he wasn't changing.. and why people kept dying around him.
His muteness was the consequence of stepping into the mortal world in order to reawaken his soulmate (Chi)
Yes, he mocked Chi's human side.. he will continue to do so when Chi wakes up.. and reminds him just who holds the power.
I hope I answered everything, I am unbelievably tired. 😵
These fests are for enjoyment, don't stress about covering all the days or being on time. You know it better than me - there are no deadlines and no compulsion to use all the prompts.
If you really want a definite answer - work on your already planned fics, you can add others later. Your fic lengths this year are longer than last year's too, so you're already working at super speed.
Still, it's yours to want - just don't tire yourself out, and most importantly, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!
And thankyou for the lore..there's definitely a greater level of things to comprehend in it. It's so much darker than "incomprehensible immortal presence" - it makes the opening scene horrifying in retrospect - Father Lin hears the warning and picks up the child anyway.
So muteness isn't just the weapon, it's more like the cost he paid to reach CC. Which somehow makes it worse and more tragic at once.
Is Wei representing Satan, or someone close or adjacent to him? And if so, then what does that make CC?
And why is CC in the mortal realm such that Wei has to do all this to bring him back? Is this a reincarnation thing where gods take different forms on earth, like Xie Lian and Hua Cheng (TGCF) etc ?
This fic definitely tired you out - weaving in so many details and symbolisms..
