Treating a human (alive and breathing) as a piece of furniture... Treating them as a mere stool/chair/toilet, not allowing them to speak or move because they are expected to be a piece of furniture is... Well, it inquires a specific taste.

As for the "Hannibal-istic" furniture pieces I feel you might think of, that's a very different subject. That takes a twisted, artful mind to create such subjects and find the eroticism and beauty in it.

There is also a mindlessness freedom in those who become the "furniture" (no pun intended) both alive and mutilated. cough
