why delete your fics when you could just orphan them? so many of your works have touched people and changed their entire lives, i don’t think you understand the scale of it. you posted on an internet ARCHIVE, love. you have the right to make the decisions you make, but keep in mind that AO3 is meant to be an archive and not some site like Wattpad that’s more of a flighty social media site. That’s why options like orphaning accounts exist, so that lost media is discouraged.

i hope you’re doing well. please, please reconsider and think about lost media and those who aren’t following your Twitter who might log into AO3 and suddenly the fic that changed their life is just… poof! gone. that sounds heartbreaking and as a writer and avid reader myself, I honestly can’t imagine losing a catalogue of nearly 200 works.
