I HAVE MULLED OVER THIS QUESTION FOR SO LONG. my answer is situational because i’d like to raise teams that work well depending on team goals and needed coverage.

i’ll list the team that i’m working on right now for pokémon platinum, since it would be very close to my normal team for exploration:
infernape, blissey, togekiss, gastrodon/quagsire, froslass, and electivire. (no trades so i will be using luxray or jolteon for my actual playthrough. but yes, electivire.)

honorable mentions include: decidueye, alolan raichu, swampert, walrein, garchomp, vespiquen, and gallade.

so i took this quiz and my results say that i'm the hardy nature (independent, but i need to be careful not to be too self-reliant). results also say i'm most like torchic and treecko. maybe this is a sign to boot up emerald again?

hmm since i was thinking about my gym layout already, i'm interested in being a gym leader, maybe challenge the league in hopes of becoming part of the elite four/champion in my region. i am a completionist at heart so being a researcher/research assistant would also seem like a fulfilling role for myself.

i do have moments where i would like nothing more than to Just Exist like one of those NPCs that offer a rest point when a poké center is too far. not having a job (that the traveler knows of), just existing and being kind enough to let a traveler and their pokémon rest.
