okay but as someone who did vote no because omegaverse isn’t always my preference the most important thing is that the author is happy and vibes with what they’re writing and like I have and will again happily read omegaverse especially if it fits the plot and authors vision better (and if a fic ends up having something I don’t like I’ll still always be happy for the people who got a trope they do love and never feel alienated)
Thank you, this is really reassuring! The reason I did the poll is because I know a few people who feel similarly about omegaverse—ie it’s not their preference but may read it anyway, but if a lot of people feel that way I’m happy to do without it? Since I already wrote wimym anyway. I do think it would be less centered on the trope specifically (like wimym) was so maybe it won’t be too bad? Much to think about!
