can someone explain what rentry is?

Ngl people are overreacting if someone toxic shows up on your site just ban them. Rentry is a site where you can put little intros like an extended bio of sorts that was originally meant for storing coding and markdown. It isnt toxic in of itself it just sometimes attracts weirdos and those weirdos unfortunately happen to be a REALLY loud minority

Rentry is just a minimalist paste site, but the community feels like if evangelical Christians and mentally unstable teenagers shared one collective braincell.

Rentry is a pastebin site that people often use as a personal website builder, it's attracted a community & a bit of a culture along with it of mostly young teenagers. The "rentry community" tends to jump from ask site to ask site looking for a place where they can receive feedback for their links, but sites (like neospring today) keep shutting down causing people to re-migrate. It has a bit of a reputation for being toxic but really it is just a bunch of kids buying and selling links and decorating them to decide who's the coolest.

Most of our crew rarely checks this site out. Were going to be overrun by these new people.

a pastebin website with custom urls, primarily known for its customization options

It's a pastebin website mainly used for introductions but I personally like to call it hell ♥︎^ω^

Alterspring uses Markdown for formatting

*italic text* for italic text

**bold text** for bold text

[link](https://example.com) for link
