It came from a period around my early 20s when I was into furry as a concept but didn't have a fursona, I would often say "rawr" as a playful thing & a friend started calling me "lion" based on that, I vibed with it & that led to me adopting it as my sona species and from there I became a Lion Appreciator in general. it doesn't go way back into my childhood or anything but it just felt right. i've always loved cats and lions are very large cats with cool hair and what's not to like about that?

it was mostly from the internet yeah, old websites and emulation, plus the occasional bit of magazine coverage, it was way before the video era. i had no personal experience with them growing up in the UK where there was very little distribution of such things (at least until the plug n play famiclone era got into full swing in the early 2000s) but that's why they fascinated me, this whole sort of "underground" side of gaming that never reached me but was the mainstream in half the world

It was pretty chill I guess. I wasn't feeling too great after work so I just kinda lounged around watching streams and drinking wine. And then later on I did some more work on the new blog I want to set up because I am always possessed with the urge to get shit done at like 1am and no earlier
