Hi! I can give you an example. In this dialogue
“There’s nothing to misunderstand. I like you and would like to take you out”
“It’s not that simple —”
“It is very simple”
“I’m trying to explain that—”
“It’s a yes or no question”
You can add period/full stop after each statement, before the quotation mark.
“There’s nothing to misunderstand. I like you and would like to take you out.”
“It’s not that simple —”
“It is very simple.”
“I’m trying to explain that—”
“It’s a yes or no question.”
It's just a small detail really, but I'm sure it helps to boost the readability.
