well because bn is a more popular dynamic, there’s bound to be more bad apples/crazy people. I genuinely think that sunchanis person was a setup account. and then all nbers take it so seriously saying they’re oppressed… meanwhile the 4/10 rating was on a bn fic. I don’t see tweets promoting bn as superior maybe I curated my timeline too much so I don’t see that drama
i agree with your first point which actually connects to my point being that most people do not bat an eye when bners tweet about being “right” or claim their preferences are just common sense. there are many variations of this attitude easily found here. for the record, i don’t think nbers are oppressed; i think it’s a bit silly to use the term colloquially in this context, but nbers have been subjected to a lot of targeted harassment. but obviously, both sides get hate, and that rating comment on the bn fic was completely unwarranted and unfair to the author
is there a nb (or nb-bnb) server or gc out there for nb lovers 💔 like i've been fine being a reader and not talking to ppl about nb or only having moots but now with all the nb hate in the tl (honestly has been for years) i wanna interact with fellow readers even the writers 💔💔
hello oomf! how do you like your tomatoes
I finally got around to reading your latest fic and I loved it so much! the banter between them was written so well that it felt like half foreplay to me, and ofc the smut! thank you for blessing us with your writing
i’m so glad you loved it! i had fun writing it, but i couldn’t help feeling a bit skeptical about how it would turn out for a couple of reasons (one being that i’m not british myself lol). but i’m genuinely so happy it got a good reception overall, and yours really warms my heart, especially because you pointed out about the banter. thank you so much for sharing this joy with me!!!!!
everything went downhill when one dynamic became the "default" rather than the preference of the majority
yes of course but it’s more of a running theme for the majority in almost any setting there is. doesn’t mean that it always works like that. also i get it that people would prefer a dynamic you think makes the most sense to them but then again there’s no need to find any failing or flaws in the ones they don’t like. still, many try to justify their preferences, which creates this default mentality, i think
is all you do complain on twitter cause half of your account is just whining about some discourse
to your other reply about penetrative sex I was once harassed for not tagging a blow job with a top or bottom dynamic like, it’s crazy to me because like can both the top and the bottom not suck dick?? sucking your partners dick doesn’t make you necessarily a top or bottom. But anyways
anon I think you're missing the point. it's this tweet, it's constant tweets about bn being "correct", disgust at the mere idea of reading nb, shading nbists because "how could they prefer that"... all about a couple we don't know and aren't involved with and could do both of these dynamics or neither. I also don't think the correct solution is to simply say nb is superior because this shouldn't be a nb vs bn fight in the first place btw. but there's way bigger problems than that right now
I’m bnb but you realize it’s just one person and people won’t nitpick if you just tag your fic? Even if it’s switching just tag it and tag both dynamics… it’s that easy. I also think it’s wrong for people to publicly shame one specific creator but now there’s 100 tweets about how nb is superior
if you’re referring to me, i always tag mine whenever a penetrative sex scene is present. however, i don’t think authors are obligated to always tag t/b dynamics either. maybe their fics aren’t centered on sex dynamics, maybe they want to avoid readers with strict preferences. and i think that when they choose not to, they shouldn’t be nitpicked. hell, even when the fics are tagged, people here somehow still find reasons to publicly shame or complain, so i don’t think the issue is as simple as just adding a tag :( as for your last point, we actually see tweets promoting the other dynamic as superior or default almost daily in one way or another, so i wonder why nb tweets in particular cause you this friction…
fandom so annoying it has me wanting to write exclusively nb from now on jesus fucking christ
