it’s so funny to me how akgaes of both of them always say shippers only use their bias as a shipping tool for their real fave. for how much they hate the other camp they sure do use the same rhetoric all the time 😭

"shippers only use them as a shipping tool" like... yeah? it’s in the name 😭 everyone views and does shipping differently anyway so that phrase has never made any sense to me. i honestly don't know why i was dragged into this debate, it’s really just each to their own

now that’s a whole different topic. i genuinely have no idea who you are implying here but let’s be real. it's quite a reach to expect me to know that i’m interacting with accounts which interact with accounts who have said those things. that’s a few degrees of separation. also if that’s the case, maybe don’t just beat around the bush? i’m not here to play a guessing game

how does it feel following people who barely care about your bias outside of shipping

i have to be honest with you i don’t concern myself with that. there’s only so much one can judge just from a twitter page and it’s not like i monitor all my followings all the time? and EYE think it’s okay if people only like kpop for situations

(same anon) yess like i wonder whether he has only abandoned his deep feelings diary and still keeps one to log what he did throughout the day. and yeah the thing with compartmentalization is that it can only work so much and it’s also kind of temporary? i also wonder if radical acceptance as a final solution is always enough, i actually try using it as well regularly but imo there’s always emotions and situations that go beyond it. the way it’s even mentioned that he’s such a considerate, proper, altruistic person, makes me think about this topic a lot. this is not a finalised thought but facing one’s needs and emotions is inherently "selfish" in a way so i can see why he struggles so much with finding a release valve. and i could also see how this relates to his sleep problems. but im glad that his path is currently leading him back closer to himself ❤️‍🩹

yes i do think compartmentalization is healthy only when it’s used as a temporary tool. pain is inevitable, but suffering doesn’t have to follow, and this is where radical acceptance helps you stay grounded in the present moment, but after that we need to ask ourselves about what we can and cannot do about it (or at least that’s what i got from my fair share of experience with DBT). ///// i’m genuinely very moved that he even acknowledges those qualities in himself while also establishing that he’s more than the rigid labels people (even me, sometimes) impose on him. especially with him saying that choosing himself doesn’t negate his altruism :’) it’s necessary for me that i know he knows he’s an altruistic person. as someone who’s very used to catering to other people, putting himself first must be a form of courage in itself, and it’s admirable to me that he’s figuring out and reflecting on many things this year. how do i say this but. i just feel more and more reverence rather than only pride that his first album is an exploration of himself and how he perceives his own self :’)

i love reading their interviews too and sth i found really interesting with hanbins latest is that we now know he went from regular diary writing to keeping two separately (one for surface level stuff and one for real feelings he has to hide) to now saying diary writing doesn’t work for him and he rather quickly deals with feelings in the moment. he’s so compartmentalization final boss and i also keep thinking how much sense it makes that he’s studying psychology..

oh god thank you for mentioning this!!! when i read the latest interview, that part really jumped out at me too, and my mind immediately circled back to his introspection video where he said he has been keeping a journal and how he said a part of the reason he did it was to record the small details you can only remember on that day. makes me wonder whether he still keeps a log for memory’s sake? whether he has abandoned writing completely? and if he no longer uses journaling as a release valve, is compartmentalization alone ever enough? and when the Cognitive Reappraisal does not provide him a single answer, will he always be able to Radical Acceptance his way out of his struggles? (and yes, it’s very evident that he suits the field of study so much ah….. :’)<3)

unfortunately i don’t have this repo saved but! i believe, and take this with a grain of salt, as my memory can be a terrible keeper, it’s about how neul being a the older one doesn’t stop bin from doting on him and taking care of him him, and even after neul mentioned that he didn’t want to become a burden or put pressure on bin, bin said something along the lines of being most comfortable with this arrangement :”) thinking back on it, it really reminded me of the famous exchange from anne carson’s translation of euripides’ orestes

well because bn is a more popular dynamic, there’s bound to be more bad apples/crazy people. I genuinely think that sunchanis person was a setup account. and then all nbers take it so seriously saying they’re oppressed… meanwhile the 4/10 rating was on a bn fic. I don’t see tweets promoting bn as superior maybe I curated my timeline too much so I don’t see that drama

i agree with your first point which actually connects to my point being that most people do not bat an eye when bners tweet about being “right” or claim their preferences are just common sense. there are many variations of this attitude easily found here. for the record, i don’t think nbers are oppressed; i think it’s a bit silly to use the term colloquially in this context, but nbers have been subjected to a lot of targeted harassment. but obviously, both sides get hate, and that rating comment on the bn fic was completely unwarranted and unfair to the author
