while it’s a common trope but you writing jk being mean and playing har to get at the same time as your friend is writing an au with the same tone…. seems too on the nose
not quite 😭 it’s actually an established couple roleplaying a sharpay x zeke dynamic (eo-inspired personalities). and TWO of my friends are working on that trope, which are very different from eo and honestly a good portion of my aus (4/7 (?)) already lean into this mean x sunshine dynamic, so it’s very on brand for me and nothing surprising. cat noir is the same tone and worse.
i get your point tho it might seem tricky timing-wise, but there wasn’t much deep planning behind it. i do not think think that hard omg this au has been sitting in my drafts since december, and i just finally got the chance to post it yesterday so i went with it
