nekoz cold war is the best and worst thing to happen to rpfdom like wow. just when we needed good tinhat doomspiral material. my current favorite yaoi lens interpretation is that yes ym had some kind of Feeling for nc but that's not necessarily what caused the rift; maybe they tried something or maybe not, but regardless nc hurts ym in some way but it smarts so badly/is such a hit to ym's pride because of his Feelings. [refer to: nc saying that he has learned how independent of a kitty cat ym is and that he's learned how to respect that... not word for word forgive me but that's the gist] obviously unintentional on nc's part. i also think he stays oblivious to what exactly he did wrong for the majority of the war. on top of all of that they're both NOT the type to confront each other about it -- nc is like i messed up i should leave him alone so he doesn't get even more hurt/upset with me; ym is like my pride won't let me think abt my Feelings and also ack what an awkward convo this would be. i too love nekoz very badly; i think there's definitely a beautiful universe in which K's intervention works out in multiple ways and they try dating and it's okay and ncls isn't haunted by The Byun Euijoo Complex (or maybe ym is okay with it) but that universe is so out of our reach..........
