Hello 🌸 First of all, thank you for this fest and for the wonderful way you are handling it! I was wondering if it is possible to change some prompt dynamics without changing the plot itself (for example instead of two people dating, two people hating each other). Also, I saw some prompts with human pairings and I wanted to ask if it was okay for one of them not to have any subgender. Sorry for the disturb, I hope these questions were legitimate. I'd really like to participate! Lots of love~

hi! we do allow pairings that include one or both members who do not have subgenders as long as omegaverse is still central to the fic’s themes. however, if the prompt you claimed already has a designated dynamic or assigned member subgenders, you would have to stick to those. (for example, if you claimed a prompt where the dynamic is tagged as alpha/omega, then you need to have 1 alpha and 1 omega in your main pairing).

for your first question: generally, you can add things onto the prompt, but you shouldn’t do anything that takes away from, distorts, or changes the plot of the prompt. in the example you gave, shifting from an established relationship to enemies to lovers would significantly change the dynamic between the characters, to the point that it may not fulfill the prompt you claimed. sometimes, if the changes are significant enough, self-prompting instead is a very viable option!

to give you a concrete answer though, we would need more details. we’d love it if you’d reach out through dms so you can tell us the specific prompts you are eyeing and the changes you’d like to make so we can help out!
