hihi!! it’s no disturbance bestie!! we are here to help 💗💗 a beta reader is essentially a proofreader! but they can do more than just check for spelling and grammar. think of it like beta testing, where something is tested out by a small selection of people to work out kinks before its released to a wider audience! so a beta reader reads a fic and provides feedback on it, whether it be for spelling, grammar, word choice, pacing, or many more things!! i will attach the list of things we provide as options in our form to this ask’s twt post, but writers can request help for whatever their specific needs are !! sometimes a beta is also primarily a helpful little friend who provides reassurance and accountability ^^
