hey, kind sir. i... i find myself paying attention to you more often than i probably should, simply because you’re incredibly easy to admire. i mean that sincerely. i like the way you treat people and i like the way you think! there’s a certain steadiness in you that’s hard not to notice. You seem like someone who knows where your boundaries are and stands by them and i respect that more than i can put into words. you have this warmth about you, but at the same time, you feel so far away. not cold, not distant in a cruel way. just beyond reach somehow.
maybe that’s part of why i admire you so much. You feel like someone i’d love to know better, yet someone i can only appreciate quietly from where i am. i hope life is being kind to you. you’re so loved, chester. ❤︎

I don't think I quite have the words to express how much kindness is packed into a message like this, but please know that I read every word with a grateful heart. It's a strange feeling to see yourself through someone else's eyes, especially when they're looking with such generosity. If there's any warmth or steadiness you've found in me, I'm glad it has reached you in some small way.
