hello!! I have been doing very well lately, tysm 💕💕

to be fully transparent, I'm not as confident these days that I will manage to write the pack formation sequel. I'm honestly very intimidated by the idea of starting another pack formation-sized project, and ngl I just have gotten it in my head that it's not something people want to read anymore. I'm not saying it won't happen, but it's on a bit of an indefinite hiatus right now

having said that, I do hope to post more heeyunki one shots, both in and out of the pfu, and including the last chapter of allo!!! and also maybe starting another longer project in a new au?? we'll see how it all goes

for the music, I have yet to work up the courage to listen to death of me, but I finally listened to ts:b maybe a week ago, and my favourite song was bloody paradise. having said that, I only listened to the album once

honestly, by far the most challenging part of writing a fic is starting it. the best thing you can do to get the ball rolling is to just open a document and start writing down every idea you have, just to get it out of your brain. it's much easier to organize and flesh out ideas once you have them written down, and you can always fix a shitty draft!!!

tbh my go-to method is to just 'outline' for as long as possible lol. start by just jotting down a few things, the most important stuff that you want to include. then go over your notes and add in more scenes to fill in the storyline, and go over it again to make note of what details you want to mention; how people are feeling, body language and facial expressions, some specific dialogue. and for me, when I do that enough times, eventually I reach a point where I feel ready to write because I know exactly what to say. I think I posted examples of my process on twitter, but it was a long time ago, so I'll have to see if I can track it down

it's also worthwhile to experiment on what kinds of drafting work best for you. I am a little freak about spreadsheets, so I have a spreadsheet dedicated to helping me keep track of the pack formation timeline, and I also have a document for keeping track of world building information for the pfu, such as the meanings of different pack and courting gestures, how heat and rut cycles work, stuff like that. obviously if it's just a one shot you don't need documents like that, but if it's for a longer work with more complex world building, it can be useful

heesun's relationship is very complicated in pack formation and I'm very happy to answer your questions about it!! the most accurate way to describe it is really a situationship; they never officially have anything going on, and the only time they have sex is during sunoo's heat, but there's definitely more emotional investment in it than either of them openly admit. both of them initially just use it as an opportunity to soothe their broken hearts over jakehoon getting together, but there is also a realization from both of them that they like being together, and that they would work well together as a couple if they weren't pining over jake and sunghoon.

heeseung is a lot more confident in his future relationship with jake than sunoo is with sunghoon, so sunoo is the only one that tests the waters by pushing boundaries a little bit (such as neck to neck scenting), but before anything can go further, jakehoon break up, and so heesun's Thing just ends without ever being properly discussed. it doesn't cause their friendship to end or anything, but it does lead to a very palpable awkwardness in their relationship for a while lol

as for how much heeseung tells jake, heeseung honestly would be fine with telling jake and being open about what happened between him and sunoo, but jake lowkey doesn't want to know. his opinion is that it doesn't matter bc now heeseung is with him (it definitely doesn't come from a place of jealousy so don't even suggest it (/s)). I really hope to one day write a fic from sunoo's perspective that covers the heesun arc, but I just have a very long list of things I would rather write first. but thank you so much for asking about it bc I do love talking about it!! and thank you again for reading my fics 💕💕💕

HA I was just talking to a friend about this so it's funny you should ask!!

it's obviously left a little bit ambiguous on purpose, and jake assumes that one of heeseung's friends has said something along the lines of "heeseungie, give me a bite of your ramyeon~" as a joke (I assume we have all made the joke before of asking a friend to share food while not physically with that friend)

however, what was actually said was something closer to "whoa, heeseung, your omega is bringing you food? can you share him with us too?" still as a joke, but a joke that heeseung was less fond of (it was probably said by limji, who is like. one of two people heeseung ever feels genuinely threatened by lol)

oh I'm happy to explain!! it's an event for heejake fans who like to write fanfic. when signing up, we got to make a request for a fanfic, and then also make an offer for what kind of fanfic we would like to write, and then were matched up with other authors by the event hosts. so, someone out there is currently working on a heejake fic for me, and I am currently working on a heejake fic for someone else.

all of the fic exchange participants will be posting their entries anonymously, and it's only at the end of the event where it will be revealed who authored each fic. I'm not totally sure how many people signed up, but I'm excited to read the fics that come out of it bc I know some authors I'm fond of are participating! it will be interesting to see if anyone can figure out which fic is mine as they start getting submitted :)))
