okay so im gonna admit i've only been really watching their recent content thru clips on my tl so i haven't watched that vlog in full BUT. i'm glad to hear that i'm right in some way. i think it's hard if you're a fan of someone to admit that they can be an asshole so i get why people are really scared or reluctant to admit or acknowledge that facet in their faves, but i think it's really fucking fun when it comes to rps. Adds a lot to their character and the resulting dynamics. and it's not like i'm saying james is a bad person, because i truly disagree with that -- but he IS an asshole sometimes, maybe more than sometimes, and i think it's a clear result of his upbringing through TA.

i think i've said this in a different ask, but i view his phone addiction as a way to avoid talking to them when he's in a bad mood (or when he really just Doesn't feel like talking genuinely). out of the five of them, i think he's the most introverted and gets the most exhausted easily -- it's why he likes rooming with juhoon so much -- but also, i do think that sometimes in those situations, he's reminded of how much Older he is compared to them. it's not that he feels left out, because i don't think he ever really cared about that with them lmfao, but i think he unconsciously Does feel that gap especially with his isolating tendencies and i think the kpop industry tends to downplay how awkward an age gap can feel for whoever's older. Like, imagine a 3-year age gap friendship in college. not necessarily weird, but it's like Damn, any normal person will feel a little weird about it sometimes. and james isn't really a pervert like that so i do think this comparison fits, in a way.

james is my reclusive little kitty cat too don't get me wrong!!!! He is highkey toxic and lowkey an asshole Especially to martin but that's what gets me going. It increases my urge to see him get fucked senseless, and that's what really counts.
