i think they are very very very cute. thinking about how soft they are with one another makes me feel a little bit crazy. I didn't even catch the vulnerability aspect of james' message to him, but now that you point it out.... Yeah. the amount of comfort james gets from seonghyeon and vice versa is kinda immeasurable, and i think they both take care of each other in ways which they both need -- james more obviously, sort of as a show to prove himself as the mathyung, while for seonghyeon it's more quiet and natural and allows him to retain that "hyung" role he's always been accustomed to back at home. there's this one clip of seonghyeon constantly looking over at james' work during the TNT coke-mentos video, and i find it very cute. Man.

i also think the princess thing is very cute. i unfortunately do not feel anything weird or perverted about it because i view it more as a term of endearment that doesn't really go into anything sexual for james, but that's just me. Don't let my views affect yours. my conception of james is that he believes he has zero attraction to the younger members because that would be Strange and Weird, and he views them as children/younger siblings the way most ppl do in reaction to 3-4 yr age gaps. it's why he rarely engages in fanservice or anything affectionate with them, in addition to his Other Issues. but i think it's really interesting how much he dotes on seonghyeon in particular. i think he finds him really really cute in a way that, if you capture it at the right angle, can border on being Weird, except he himself isn't aware of that. Which is Delicious. i like the idea of seonghyeon relishing in the special treatment he gets while feeling a bit sad knowing that james means nothing of it. Thoroughly enjoying the moments when james opens up to him and only him, and subconsciously using that to slowly get more and more touchy over the years. i can easily see him offering himself to james if he catches him at a Really Bad Time, and james kinda nodding (to his own surprise) and letting seonghyeon take care of him.

if it wasn't obvious, i HEAVILY fw the trope of the older guy being in denial of/feeling absolutely zero attraction to the younger guy (marjames for the former, jjujami for the latter). for jamseongz, i can kind of see a mix. it's also because i think james is into older guys, but that's just my hypothesis.
