tbh i always found it kinda ironic to see bottomji/topxian truthers complain ab mischaracterization when reversing their t/b dynamics makes them quite literally ooc. it’s so hypocritical when u think ab it lol. tbf, everyone’s gonna mischaracterize a character (even if it’s just a lil) at some point since we dont KNOW the characters the same way the author does. the audacity for SOME of these people to complain ab ooc fics when they themselves couldnt open a doc for the life of them is so funny. w/o headcanons, most of these fics wouldnt exist in the first place!
yeah frrrðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ it’s impossible to pull a 1:1 characterization if ur not the author themselves, especially if ur switching dynamics, putting them in an a/b/o setting, getting one of them pregnant, modern aus, mafia aus, etc etc etc every step u take away from the source material makes it more and more difficult to imitate or replicate the original characterization. i think we should all stick to our shit and stop making mountains out of molehills, nobody has the ultimate guide to write lwj or wwx, and the people who claim to understand them perfectly will usually misunderstand them fundamentally and refuse to see it, or they misunderstand the source material which tbh goes hand in hand w the characterization discourse
headcanons and fics are VITAL to fandom spaces and it’s ridiculous to pretend like they’re not, if u want canon go reread the damn novels and stop
engaging w fanon shit then (which includes switching!!!)
