tbh i always found it kinda ironic to see bottomji/topxian truthers complain ab mischaracterization when reversing their t/b dynamics makes them quite literally ooc. it’s so hypocritical when u think ab it lol. tbf, everyone’s gonna mischaracterize a character (even if it’s just a lil) at some point since we dont KNOW the characters the same way the author does. the audacity for SOME of these people to complain ab ooc fics when they themselves couldnt open a doc for the life of them is so funny. w/o headcanons, most of these fics wouldnt exist in the first place!
yeah frrr😭😭😭 it’s impossible to pull a 1:1 characterization if ur not the author themselves, especially if ur switching dynamics, putting them in an a/b/o setting, getting one of them pregnant, modern aus, mafia aus, etc etc etc every step u take away from the source material makes it more and more difficult to imitate or replicate the original characterization. i think we should all stick to our shit and stop making mountains out of molehills, nobody has the ultimate guide to write lwj or wwx, and the people who claim to understand them perfectly will usually misunderstand them fundamentally and refuse to see it, or they misunderstand the source material which tbh goes hand in hand w the characterization discourse

oh boy theres a lot of them ahwkwbwkw anything to do w bottomxin or bottomji, thats the first thing that comes to mind
for fengqing specifically i hateee the trope of fx only dating jl bc she resembles mq or him dating mq bc he resembles jl, or jl being like a vindictive mean ex gf/wife. i hate fenglian so i dont like unrequited fenglian in my fengqing (fenglian in a fengqinglian context is peak tho), and i dont like mq groveling in any capacity
when it comes to wx, i dont like lwj slapping wwx during sex, but regarding sfw tropes, lwj being annoyed at wwx post canon makes no sense to me i dislike that a lot, in aus i dont mind bc shit happens differently but once theyre together i do not fw lwj acting like wwx is this big annoyance
