(btbl) my gut is telling me yj has already started to break...and I'm rooting for sy 🤫 but since yj built that persona for the sake of the group in the first place, I wonder how the group dynamics will change if yj goes back to being clingy with sy.(if it happens)

Wouldn't it be harder for sy to do his job as a leader? Or is it worse for him when yj doesn't need him anymore? Sorry the story is just so interesting I can't help but to theorize 😭

there’s just a tiny correction! yj actually built that persona for the sake of sy, not the group entirely. he didn’t want sy to carry the burden of being the “hyung” alone so yj naturally started distancing himself from sy in order to not give sy any more burden. yj used to cry to sy and have sy pamper him, but after sy was confirmed the leader, yj knew it would be selfish if sy had to keep taking care of him excessively /and/ the other younger members all at once.

yj saw the stress sy went though during debut when he had to guide everyone, so yj decided to ease his burden by becoming someone strong and dependable. that way, the other members could lean on him too instead of just seeking sy out and giving him more stress.

but what yj didn’t know is that what he thought was helping sy out only made sy crazier instead! lol because yj was actually the person sy wanted to take care of the most. but because sy was too busy looking after everyone else, he didn’t notice the change in yj until it was too late </3

so in that sense, /if/ yj does revert back to his old self, he would just be more honest about his feelings to sy instead of bottling them up and lashing out whenever he’s at his limit. and sy definitely wouldn’t mind taking care of yj’s “special needs” 🤭
