As for the bdsm, I have to say i don’t consider myself to be some super big expert, I mostly just know what I like. There’s so much I don’t know, but I’d say a good place to start, and also actually a good place to be in in general, is knowing what you like and not being afraid to indulge your curiosity about things that might appeal to you, be it different ways to spank someone, or wine, or art, or literally whatever. Seeking knowledge is how we acquire knowledge, and nobody popped into this world knowing stuff, it’s always a process. So don’t let anyone make you feel bad about something you don’t know or think you don’t know enough about. Curiosity is a wonderful quality, and being open to gaining new information and free to ask questions is sth we should never stop doing. Anyone who looks down on you or makes you feel inadequate for not knowing sth is only projecting their own insecurity.
