hi hi, serious question. how are you writing those super long fics? it's a mystery to me because I tent to struggle with staying on board and not letting myself be intimidated by bigger plot ideas lol

hi hi cutie!!

hmmm this is actually a very good question ksjdhfsd i mean i joke that i yap and it's true, but i usually write stories that i would want to read. i know that a lot of the topics/settings that i choose are not the most popular or the most exciting at all times haha so it takes a bit out of me to keep myself motivated.

it is not as though stats on fics mean everything or whatnot, but it is nice to know when people enjoy the stories that i write and feel compelled to leave a comment, so i am always beyond grateful when people do that. even a simple 'nice', makes me smile like a fool for hours haha so, there is definitely the motivation that comes from knowing that people care about the story and where it's headed, there is definitely that!

but!! i keep myself pretty organized, i think. i have a notebook exclusively for creative outlining (not just fics).

so, for example, for love all, i would re-do the outline every week to make sure that things still made sense as the story progressed. 'love all' is a bit of a different beast tho, bc i wrote it in six months sdjkflsdf i updated that thing like.. twice a week? sometimes three time a week, so it was "easy" to keep the interest of people, and it was a story that really got out of hand. my initial plan was not even nearly as long as where it got. but after, i think, chapter 15, i started hand writting the bullet points of what goes where bc i needed to start closing plot lines and i didn't want to leave any of them open (except for one, but it was on purpose).

'invisible ties' is not nearly as long, but i wrote it immediately after finishing 'love all', and it was (im not kidding) 30k more than i planned bc i had FUN!! i loved getting to know librarian minho and the weird thoughts in his head. it was also a lot lighter in theme, so my heart didn't feel heavy at any point while writing, which is good!

for 'records of you and me', my initial plan was 10 chapters sjdfsdfks i apologized multiple times for my beta reader bc i would go through the outline, and think about the characters feelings, and it would just make sense to explore a bit more, you know? it is like i create them, but they take a life of themselves, and i write what they tell me. it sounds a bit weird, but jisung told me a lot of shit during the writing of 'records of you and me', it was like "no i wouldnt' do that in 2002" or, "it's too soon for that to happen". i know i sound crazy, but to me, they existed as much in reality as they did on paper.

and then for 'sunshine and heavy rain', i simply don't want to rush. like i didn't want to rush for any of them sdjkfdsfhs but with this one... idk. the topic is heavier, so writing takes a bit out of me sometimes. what i do is that i keep my outline as updated as possible, making changes if necessary and i re-read a lot of what i wrote already, to make sure that things are making sense, and that i'm being as careful as i can with the words.

honestly, it's pretty hard, but i just try to be organized and to respect my lil characters hehe especially when it comes to more complicated feelings!! idk if it makes much sense hahah but this is how i do it
