it is definitely has to write, especially because i've been taking my time with it, so sometimes the things that have happened are not as fresh in my mind. When this happens i have to go back to what is out more often and it is always a bit hard haha

i've been thinking about this story since i was writing/posting love all, so it has been a while in the making and it is difficult to me because i don't want take it too personal, you know? I don't want to take minho's pain and make it mine, but sometimes it is pretty obvious that i do haha especially when it is jeongin who is frustrated.

and it's also a tricky line to walk... to make things obvious without making them clear? i think it's rater obvious when we notice minho's bahavior that he was deep in an abusive relationship, but i don't want the abuse to be obvious at all times. No wait skjdfhdjshfds i want it to be obvious, but i don't want it to be bad enough that it is frustrating that minho doesn't leave.

i want it to seem small when separated. one word here, one word there. it is easy to let it go when it's like that, but when we look back and see the bigger picture, we see that it wasn't a hole in the wall, but rather a piece of wood attached to nothing. does that make sense?

i want it to be frustrating to others to see minho ponder and struggle because 'oh my god, just listen to what he is saying!!' because it is always easy to see when looking from outside. i want his realization, his "confessions" to things that happened to be as heartbreaking as possible bc to me, that is where the juice is: understanding your circumstances..

idk sjkdfhksdjfs it's not easy to write or work on the outline, but it is a story that i'm honestly proud of, and i'm happy i'm writing it.

it is based on the true story of billie j king and the incredible woman that she is. i think it illustrates fairly well the reality of women in tennis and it is a great way to dive deeper into the topic. it is also a movie that i wished miss sabalenka would have watched or at least understood so she wouldn't go around staining the legacy of all the pioneer women who came before her. but that is a different thing and im bitter about this nkjfdhdskjdfsd

the scoring is needlessly complicated skdjfhksjdfs but if it helps, even pelople who play tennis don't really know the reasoning for it. there are a lot of speculations but the origin of the scoring is pretty blurry. i know (again) that you did not ask this specific question, but i think i can help a bit!!
- a regular tennis match is played best out of 3 sets, so the player who gets to 2 first, wins. the set score can look like this 2-0 or 2-1.
- to win a set you have to win 6 games. In the case where players are tied 5-5, they play up to 7 games. if it is 6-6, they play a tiebreaker (kind of like volleyball, you know? normal couting sskjdfsd 1, 2, 3... up to seven to win the set. and just like in volleyball, if there is a tie at 6-6 a player win twon point in a row to win the tiebreaker, for example 8-6 or 9-7, and consequently win the set). A set score board can look like the following: 6-0, 6-1, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 or 7-6
- to win a game you have to win at least 4 points, and here is where people find it confusing. instead the points are 0, 15, 30, 40. the theory is that it is supposed to resemble the quarters of the hour, but they made 45 into 40 to make it easier for the umpire to say it (idk if it's true tbh). only one player serves per game, so we count their points first every time so 30-0 means that the server is winning the game, 15-40 means the server is losing the game. Now, if they tie at 40-40, there is a thing called advantage, which means that they have to win their point point at 40-40 to gain the advantage and then the next point to win the game. if they lose their advantage piint, it goes back to 40-40.
- so!! a simple, reduced summary: 1 match = 2 sets; 1 set = 6 games; 1 game = 4 points*

- yes!! surprisingly, breaking rackets is pretty common skjdhfsd it is very frowned upon and it is shameful to the athlete, but it happens. you know the big bags they walk in on court with?? there are multiple rackets, usually at least four skjfdhsd but it is NOT in case they break one, it is bc of the string tension, but that is a different conversation
- rackets are expensive!! but players are sponsored, so they get their rackets :/ it's a bummer tbh bc like... cmon expensive. but lil pepper fact: i had a pre-sponsorship when i was 15 and got three rackets and i broke one sjkdfjdsfsd bad pepper. i had a terrible temper when i was younger.
- yes!! it is the referee (we call them umpires ;]) to silence the crowd skdjfhsdf it is a bit unfair imo bc it is an arena
- the silence in tennis thing is very tricky bc if they are "natural sounds" like gasps, grunts, loud exhales, or something that is not excessively loud or distracting, it is perfectly fine. but if you yell HEY in the middle of the point, that is what we call hindrance, it is a rule in tennis and it starts the point again haha but for the start of the point it is imperial that there is silence bc the serve is the only shot during the point where a player has control of the ball, so it is not to break their focus.

• minsung: my ao3 will tell you that im a minsung girly. pink and green, cosmo flowers, soulmatism, that gravitational pull to being around each other. i just really love how well they match in so many different ways and even in what they are different, they appreciate each other.
• minbin: coming to my page and thinking i wouldn't talk about minbin is the same as coming to my page and thinking i won't talk about winter falls.
