heyy! it's been a while haha. i don't think i ever asked you what you thought about the rest of the covers, so i'd like to ask you now!
personally: demon lord was fine i think. i saw a lot of hate towards the len tuning and i kinda get why but weirdly enough i actually liked his high notes at the beginning??? i honestly found him a bit worse on some of his later solo lines. in general i just feel the song isn't really my style though. still, i thought the cover was fine.
ultimate senpai was good imo. i saw some people complaining it wasn't tsukasa focused and. i kinda get it tbh? still, i think the cover was good, miku's tuning was fine too and everything.
hydrangea was weird to me. i did like it, but i found lukas few solo lines to be genuinely bad💀 which is weird because her shared lines in the chorus were fine imo. why did they make her sound so high pitched like omg. besides that my other issue os that this game size is genuinely bad imo😭😭 idk why but something about it just feels genuinely awkward and it bothers me.
and while we're at (pun intended) it, the high difficulty comm "at" was honestly really nice. gives me some weird ethereal/space vibes. also 2:35 game size! high difficulty songs seem to love stealing are the long game sizes from other songs LMAO.
anyways as for cover campaign ranking… i think all of them are honestly on the same level. can't really say i preferred one over the other, probably because i never had a lot of attachment to most of these songs lol. they definitely have grown on me though, both the covers and the original versions.
anyways, time to wait for idiotic transaction (which i am also looking forward to! seems like a fun song to cover imo)
i liked demon lord! cover was enjoyable for me. the 3dmv was so anhane which i really liked HAHA. not a lotttt for me to say otherwise. just a super respectable one i liked
ultimate senpai was like. fine. idk. Just Kinda Fine. could have been worse, could have been better. i definitely didn't like it as much as i would have wanted though lol
hydrangea is kinda just there, it didn't evoke a lot of emotion within me, yeah. luka's solo lines weren't great and it doesn't stick out much aside of being "just there". very neutral
as for at, i'm not normally a fan of boss songs musically (i actually really don't like any of the remixes that were announced during the championship besides rad dogs 💀i feel bad being so negative today oops) but this song is pretty good actually. intense but super fun. love the piano
ranking... abnormality dancin girl (COMMON LEO/NEED W) > demon lord > hydrangea > lemon melon cookie (i just really don't like the song) > ultimate senpai
i think the campaign just didn't land suuper much for me? it's like objectively fine just not much i feel crazy about
hona7 lineup in under 24 hours too!!! kinda crazy to think we're in the ending stretches of the story soon tho so leoni's gotta be dropping a lot esp with the extreme blatant foreshadowing last event
