yeah ngl trying to reduce key moments from the stories into 20 chapters was always going to be. a Choice (especially since they refuse to consider some mixed events that i'd argue are very "key" stories as such). 1/4 main story is kinda ??? like yeah them taking a part makes sense but also like. it's always the past and never the future with these events LMAO. but hey free crystals! (?)
(also i've seen some tweets saying wl2 wasn't mentioned at all which. lol. lmao, even. "wl2 is filler" accusations are always vindicated atp that it's not even funny)

i do think the thing with "key" story markers is basically. Does this information come up in an actual unit event? in which case no, so even when stuff like Mizuki NY has some significant backstory... none of that EVER gets mentioned in a future niigo event, so it's not a key story to read
yeah wl events are entirely unmentioned, i do imagine they will be mentioned in the VS one though. i suspect that one will likely condense the journey of the sekais connecting. bc every vs event is kindof literally all about that too lol
the most egregious cut is probably the akito stuff though. genuinely baffling they entirely cut out all of FAWO and overcome one's limits and also don't even mention like any of his character stuff in the unity/rekindle recaps.
the problem with this is that like every single (key story) event should have had a one chapter recap, condensing it into 20 just makes No Sense because they skip whole events and a good few that don't ignore important context. bout's only purpose in this is the ch1-2 taiga thing. it ignores the other chunk of the event where an worries about being abandoned by kohane. walk is also entirely skipped when like.. the least they should have done is go "oh yeah toya mentored under souma" because otherwise who the fuck is souma?

only character at the bottom of alts was airi. none of these characters are out of place for alts though and i think all these alts are fine (i do think an sounds a bit out of breath though… i do like the alt but i did remember noticing it in the sekai version).
honestly? i'm more baffled at the lack of miku alt. she's at the bottom in counts and hasn't had one since may which is kinda bewildering considering she's literally hatsune miku™ lol. saki is also in a similar situation too i think.
not much else to comment for this event's batch… honami's bday cards is nice ig? i'm assuming the event story is literally just scenes from previous events too so like. lol.
i only listened to anhane so far and i liked them, very happy with the song choice too but also i'm an anchan glazer so like. airi also makes sense with the mmj memories thing too. but... yeah. miku... where the hell is she?

yeah the event story is legitimately just scenes from (most) events and even main story for 1/4 of it lol. never escaping main story!
its llikeee.. i wouldn't say it's terrible, but i'd probably not recommend it. kinda ignores a lot of the emotional weight/arcs within events. also it makes a few very bizarre skips of entire events (find a way out isn't even mentioned at all!!! nor is overcome one's limits, the event where vbs SIGNS WITH A RECORD LABEL?) and gives some focus to certain plots i. really wouldn't say need the screentime

heyy! it's been a while haha. i don't think i ever asked you what you thought about the rest of the covers, so i'd like to ask you now!
personally: demon lord was fine i think. i saw a lot of hate towards the len tuning and i kinda get why but weirdly enough i actually liked his high notes at the beginning??? i honestly found him a bit worse on some of his later solo lines. in general i just feel the song isn't really my style though. still, i thought the cover was fine.
ultimate senpai was good imo. i saw some people complaining it wasn't tsukasa focused and. i kinda get it tbh? still, i think the cover was good, miku's tuning was fine too and everything.
hydrangea was weird to me. i did like it, but i found lukas few solo lines to be genuinely bad💀 which is weird because her shared lines in the chorus were fine imo. why did they make her sound so high pitched like omg. besides that my other issue os that this game size is genuinely bad imo😭😭 idk why but something about it just feels genuinely awkward and it bothers me.
and while we're at (pun intended) it, the high difficulty comm "at" was honestly really nice. gives me some weird ethereal/space vibes. also 2:35 game size! high difficulty songs seem to love stealing are the long game sizes from other songs LMAO.
anyways as for cover campaign ranking… i think all of them are honestly on the same level. can't really say i preferred one over the other, probably because i never had a lot of attachment to most of these songs lol. they definitely have grown on me though, both the covers and the original versions.

hi again! details from event check out (rui finally got his cool healer LOL. also ichika 3* was cool… is this the first set where all cards are from the same attribute omg) and i liked both of the covers that leaked (i was so surprised by adg having rin but i think she worked pretty well. l/n was very good too. and mmj lemon melon cookie was nice too)
on a more negative note, i'm a bit disappointed by some of the untraineds and by miku's bfes😭 the untraineds is honestly just how off it looks that there's no background people on a literal convention though so it's mostly nitpicking. miku's bfes, though… i kinda get what they were going for and it's not like i wanted the card to be hyper detailed or anything but. why do they keep zooming in these cards so much lol😭
also the popularity polls… ngl i have. a lot of thoughts. some positive and some negative (why did tsukasa6 make it into top cards again…). this is kinda hypocritical of my part, but i'm rolling my eyes at some toxic solo ena oshis in the quotes going "how dare you call yourself an ena fan and choosing ena5 as your favorite event", but am also baffled at an in tw and cn servers having toyamix1 as an fans' fav event because ???😭
i think it's different though: ena is the focus of ena5 despite mizuki being relevant because well, their arc regarding the secret is very involved with each other. an is a minor character at touyamix1 and a 2* at that, how did that win there at all LMAO😭 still feel a bit hypocritical though.

also ik you said you're kinda giving up on specs (fair enough LMAO), but i feel honami7 is kinda straightforward. since they're 100% raising the event shop cap atp, i'm guessing ichihona pu + a coinflip between meiko, len and shiho for 4*? saki is locked to a 3* i feel, but i can see shiho or meiko both being 2* (not len though, go away for now)
i wouldn't say "given up" entirely but yeah not my priority. i'll probably just only think about the next 2 events at any given point
honami, ichika 4* do seem most likely. especially with ichika shop on anni lol
i think with mafuyu7 lim it might be niigo meiko lim again? which would make me think 3oc leoni and miku shop (she makes a fine 2* option.. slightly less due to the recent vs event but not a bad one anyways i feel like)

after some thought, while i'm still not that big on these memories events at all, at least they seem to be this year's WL replacements? and since they only last from october to december and are much shorter, at least they'll be gone much sooner. better get rid of the bs from the get go instead of annoucing them at december's broadcast for no reason LMAO. also no limited spam (it seems the gachas will contain past lims though?), and the rewards seem a bit more generous, so there's that? idk the bar is in hell LMAO.
honami7 is like, fine (i like the producer choice!). it does mean that she's getting a 6th single jacket though, which is so…??? girl shiho only has one what the fuck😭 also honami's event shop count is beginning to bother me again as this kinda locks her out of that. maybe they'll put her in like, new year's event shop or something? or whenever they do next mixed event ig.
also, as a correction: only colorfes and bloomfes cards will get animated retroactively! and after that, it's every new set from december onwards i think. they mention they may be open to the possibility of animating past popular sets, but that they're not particularly intending to do so at the moment.
i honestly agree, though, still feels like a lot of budget and well. i expected the methods of animating them to be stingy asf. thankfully, i don't care about animated cards that much (they'll probably end up looking like d4dj's animations in the long run and. lol.)
