i've been thinking about it, and i've been wondering if machico is a fluke? because i really just can't see a reason to not host even a single mixed event. in that case, i could see it being a perm mix... i guess airi focus (she could still use another 4* and missing a 3rd mixed. also because niigo kinda maybe needs to fuck off for a bit if theyre getting a hakolim) . i really think rin needs to be a 4* stat (both 4* count and commi are in a really bad place) and vbs is a great opportunity once again, so i think they could move an off the banner to put her in the perm mix slot and make it rin instead
in agreement with ena6 though. i lean mafuyu 4* purely because she doesn't have a lim with ena lmfao. but then again kanade doesn't need a mixed event while mafuyu does.. so.. shrug.
also, i want to bet tsukasa for nene6. not really any major reason i just kindof feel it honestly

I don't really think it'll be a Niigo hakolim, the thing is Clpl had an entire 8 hakolims between anni4 -> anni5. I don't really think they wanna do another yet particularly since they like. literally cannot have held new lim mixed in that period lmfao.
Ena is one of the five characters to still need a 3rd mixed (Airi, Emu, Mafuyu, Mizuki are the others) and I think she's very much the most sensible here.
Airi is 100% getting a 4* between Shizuku's event and the lim event. If she's not on the Shizuku event she's on the lim event. I'd imagine Minori would take her place on Shizuku's event if she's not here
I actually really originally wanted to say Niigo Luka would get a lim here but I forgot she had more lims than the other VS so that one's possibly workshopped for now. My thinking was that Luka doesn't need a commission At All, and needs 4* so I think she'll appear in a mixed. maybe they host another perm mix...? shrug. Meiko and Rin also need 4* and lims but Rin is genuinely in dire need of commissions stat so I think she'll probably be in the MMJ event and possibly another this rot (hopefully vbs)
Literally any of Ichihonashiho are viable for lims. So they could theoretically two gap any of them, but I don't think Shiho is very likely bc of Tamagotchi also just happening
Toya could theoretically be here but idk. I think he's more likely for a VBS gacha (and focus at that) so I'm leaning no
Wondasho kinda need to fuck off from mixed events, their 4*counts are well above average.

i'll say that that's actually pretty much been there since i've been in this fandom since 2021 (this was also like... extremely common for older project sekai fans to have this in their DNI. It was pretty much on everyone's back in the day) so it's not like a new thing
but to summarize the bullet points for me...
-I hardline see An and Kohane (especially An) as lesbians and really, really do not like seeing them with men at all. I am uncomfortable with it.
-From my personal experience, I've seen a number of Particularly really awful takes coming from shippers especially. Generally just kind of bad story takes (which annoy me as a big storyhead lol) but more offensively and far more importantly particularly over the years I have seen massive amounts of homophobia (largely lesbiphobia) and misogyny that make my skin crawl and I have no interest in dealing with. A large number of WTWG discourses during it's release and the months following after were especially egregious.

god yeah absolutely. people base entire perceptions on clips and the number of people posting about exposition will be Very Little. are you excited for people to go "what is a rush beats/lasting echo fes". because i know i am. i actually dont know if ive seen a single person post a clip of literally anything in competitive fire except for the clip of elena going KABOOOM!!! which is really cute and i'm a fan honestly but. doesn't say much about the event haha.
clip accounts are kindof really unfortunate in all honesty. rarely do they ever drum enough interest to actually get people to read the story 💔
and that's totally fair!! i think it's reasonable to want your favorites to have a stronger story role. i do think akito's been in a weird limbo lately where he has like. a good number of Moments but it's not like he's the secondary most important character in any given event haha

so i've been ruminating on this question awhile I'M SORRY it's been a few days, and i'm not good with answers unfortunately
but i do like side stories with continuity--where a reoccuring interaction between characters happens. it really does feel like a parallel plot to the main thing then, which i'm a fan of
in particular, i want to call attention to a few side stories primarily centered around rui and meiko/virtual singers.
the very first one of these i would say is rui's cheer squad side story, where meiko/luka with rui overhear his classmates talking positively about him and his work at the cheer festival, and meiko decides to call out to them to get their attention so that rui and them could talk and bond.
the second one of these is amidst a dream rui. in here, rui goes to the wonderland sekai to take a break where he meets with her and luka. he tells them that his feelings have been distracting him and he wishes someone else could control his emotions for him. they encourage him, it's sweet.
the real piece of pie though i think is ohe. in ohe meiko, she talks with him and congratulates him for how he didn't give up and that honest feelings move the heart. it's a bit silly, but i especially love that line. it's good to be yourself and to have some degree of selfishness.

similarly for rui side stories i want to call attention to rui's bfes. side story part 2 has some of my favorite dialogue in the entire game that's made me cry so bad and i encourage you read it for yourself

other side stories that make me weepy are pretty much any of the ones with continuity regarding mizuki and rui. hermit's side story is a fantastic companion piece to a wonderful event that i think about from time to time.

unfortunately i've just ended up talking a lot about rui. that's my bad. umm. i like the an/akito+ken side stories that litter earlygame. i think its lyrics (both) -> nocturne (an) -> sbd (akito) -> bout (both). i wish kensan was my dad
