Hi…. Sorrey but i would like to know how u picked the colors in the “no tag rkgk” artwork u posted? I love the use of purple and want to know how you made it look so good

i was drawing that during school so i was partially lobotomised, but color adjustment settings helped me a little. it was mostly color jitter doing the heavy lifting lmao. i use it almost always cause it creates appealing color variation and i like that and i can slather on color like whatever and it’ll just work and i like having a painterly style
if you know color theory and values, learning it helps a lot here (i was picking colours that looked nice together - the whole mood of this drawing is meant to have tension, be “icky” in some way, so i wanted to communicate that. i’m always trying 2 think about how the overall atmosphere will be to translate that with visuals ^_^ i tend to contrast warm w/ cool colors too. you can see that w the orange and vivid purple. u must also consider values of the drawing ,so even w/ variation in the shadows and such, they can make colorful drawings if they remain in the same general value.

my typical painting process involves coloring the whole thing one colour as an underpainting and then painting over it, ensuring that bits of the underpaint are still exposed (it becomes the “white” of the piece) ;You can see the red-orange peeking through too. idk. this things sort of come naturally 2 me at this point from obsessively looking at my favourite artists who have similar coloring styles
thank you *u^ tldr i slapped them on and called it a day
