Hi, can you please address the reasoning behind the ring change in a bit more detail? I'd like to purchase this zine, but I've seen a lot of concerns around this change, the reasoning behind it, and the comments and users that seemed to have spurred it. I have to say I agree with these concerns, especially after seeing the transphobic nature of some of these comments and the fact that one of the most outspoken individuals who pushed for this is a xenophobe. I would not like to purchase the zine if it's made by people who align themselves with or tolerate people and comments like that knowingly. But I also don't want to assume ill intention and know issues like this can get twisted easily, so I do hope that this has a better justification than what appears to be the case right now.

Hello, yes! Thank you for inquiring about this properly! We'd love to give you guys transparency about this!

We have proposed the initial ring sizes (6.5 and 10) to our artist in the beginning because we wanted to cover as many consumers as possible. We wanted as many people as possible to be able to wear at least one of these. Our artist quickly agreed and provided us with the adjusted files so the cogs would still be able to slot into one another. This would reduce the need for people to get them resized, should they choose to wear them which, while still possible, is quite challenging and expensive when it comes to stainless steel. We didn't choose these sizes with the characters behind them but with the customers in mind. This way, we figured we'd be able to raise the most money for PCRF in the end.

Quickly after we announced the rings and their sizes, our artist came up to us about wanting to change the sizing to both rings being a 10 because it didn't fit their artistic vision anymore so we sat down to talk with them as it was a rather spontaneous change request less than 24 hours before our preorders would go live. This meant a big change that would in return mean a lot of added stress for the mod team and a statement explaining why we were so quick to change sizing after we just announced it.

The talk came down to our artist either pulling the rings from the project entirely - which is a totally fine thing to do if the product doesn't match their vision - or us adjusting the ring sizes.
As we don't want our artist's work to go wasted and also didn't want to disappoint our customers that were quite excited after the initial ring announcement, we proposed a compromise to adjust the sizes but have it be an 8 instead of a 10.
This size was chosen so that there's still a wider spectrum of people that will be able to wear these rings. Despite the stainless steel, resizing is still feasible and our manufacturer recommended that a size 8 would resize up and downward much easier than a 10.

Our artist agreed to this compromise.
A further change is that neither of these rings are tied to one character anymore. You can read either of them as Jayce or Viktor. In the end, these are a merch piece simply inspired by them.

This was a change our product's artist demanded and we supplied. There is no grievances from the mod team towards our artist.
We hope this little insight clears things up for you!
