in a very detached observational way these idols are literally speed running all sorts of romantic/platonic relationships with fans and bandmates, i wonder if it makes them better partners or worse. they've got all the placating and "would u still love me" hypotheticals down.
HM I think it's pretty complex than that. Isn't most of it part of their job? Like sure it MAY confuse ur brain at some point but I'm pretty sure the best idols are the ones who separate their camera self and real self neatly, nicely. Also like most idols are excellent actors and liars and imo that def helps with things. I don't mean it in a neg way because it's what it is yanno I have understood this after being a kpop fan for nearly 10 years. At some point you come to realise that many instances/things are gilded with lies or embellishments. Truly an it is what it is situation imo. Sometimes it is not an easy pill to swallow and it's easier still to get wrapped up in the fantasies created but I also like to keep at least one of my feet permanently touching grass. Helps more than you think!

not zeroses piecing together what parasocalism entails from the first principles today. i have to warn yall tho since they are now primarily having sm ent management teams it's only gonna get worse from here. they are like the final boss of breeding this specific brand of fans. on the other hand im glad everyone is realizing just how many of us here are also dangerously attached to these idols. remember kids we are all just one degree away from a stalker considering our primary sources of info are usually from fansites and repos.

it genuinely pisses me off when ppl bring up rik for these sexuality discussions like we didn't frantically nuke even the memory of him being outed during pre-bp era. it's one thing to celebrate queer identities and clearly they are also down in doing that but putting their perceived dissected sexualities as this major thing abt them using some of the screenshots of hacked accounts when 6/9 members in one point was outed by their "friends" after insane prying makes me wanna tear my hair out

HKDHJD yeah but I also think he had this phase where he was extremely jealous of gw. And I also think bin is like. Hm how do I word it it's like he wants to show off and parade mashu and let other people have a taste of him but it should happen on HIS terms. If it doesn't, he doesn't like it. That's what I think. He's also very possessive of Matthew in general I think it's really cute esp because he has no reason to be insecure like boy just look at the way Matthew looks at you he isn't going ANYWHERE !

tinhat warning this is lowkey gonna be insane but cos i was feeling nostalgic i decided to marathon bp with 2 of my irl friends and one of them works in editing kinda stuff? for our local tv channels and he pointed out somethings so insane that he asked for all high lore of mattbin to confirm basically, so the whole timeline we made was from when they both had rings to when only maet suddenly shifted and wore them in the pinky while bin wore them as he always did to only bin wearing it to them both losing it and pretty much whatever that went down in love killa basically messed up the entire story line till the whole sudden breakdown that happens with bin on tomboy and that's why there's straight up a random clip of jyung crying for no reason in that episode preview which they could not piece into a coherent story line to actually air it in the episode until it got to he crux of that choppy footage of the "fight" and apologies of those teammates during say my name....he was insisting that to make proper storylines the writers could only outline some random acceptable footage that wouldn't be too questionable and still portray the best trainees in a good light cos those few episodes are genuinely a mess and they couldn't salvage it even by focusing on the other teammates and stuff. basically he was saying that he thinks something shifted in their relationship during love killa and they took a break from eo for a bit basically. that's why on the final break episode bin's friends straight up tell ppl to vote for maet.... and we were lining up the timelines to the second shift in paris to them getting around to make the second rings so our guess was also that bin found the "lost" ring of his at home which he did keep "lost" so they would make the second and commit to it.....insane ik but it was funny going through all the lore and he was so pumped at the "situationship you never recover from" energy mattbin has so anways injest all this with a grain of salt and fun

If you're still around I would definitely love to talk more about this privately. I have my own theories/tinhat about the BP sungseok and everything after involving other members and everything and it's just.... yeah. GDKDGDJD I think there is a lot of interesting discussions to be had!
