Hello!!

Because I am anti-censorship/proship/profic I will often block people for a number of reasons related to that. If I see them speaking against certain types of fictional content on the bases of arguing “morality” or if I see them participating in discourse/witch hunts against that content or those engaging with it. Sometimes I block people for reposting/replying to things like that even if it’s not their own post as well. Especially during major discourses or if a post blows up I will often just block people in the thread that are agreeing with the op’s stance in a way I disagree with. It doesn’t align with my values. Especially as someone who has been witch hunted in this fandom multiple times. I will block people preemptively before there is a chance to have issues with them.

That said, I don’t really block people for anything preference related (ships, dynamics, tropes, etc.). I’m very happy to coexist with people who have differing preferences from me. So, if someone is blocked it is likely because I saw them engaging in a topic I’m not okay with.

However in the past I HAVE had people reach out to me about being blocked and we have been able to either air out misunderstandings or come to an agreement to where we are able to follow eachother or at the very least not be blocked. I’m not unreasonable!
