How did you go about writing cosmos, since its nonchronological? Like how did you decide what order to do it in, and did you swap anything around after the fact?
for the most part, i had the order pretty set, but things have moved around a bit for sure! i knew i wanted to start it in 2025 and then immediately go back to 2017 and go more or less chronologically from there, with snapshots of the "future" woven in. i felt like it was important for me to start chapters with a look at what's to come, and then fill in how they got there. i've had a notes file going since i started planning writing it, with the overall framework and the events that take place - it's helped me keep track, especially when i've moved things and can see the overall flow from a distance.
the last chapter has moved pieces around a lot! there's something i've been playing with that i'm hoping will hit home by the end. i really hope you enjoy it 💙 this was a really great question, thank you!!
