characters who are most consistent in their events, who i wouldn't really declare to have any "misses": shizuku, ena, mizuki, nene.... probably mafuyu too?

yes yes 3/4 niigo are here but i think these guys every time an event is announced i can go "ah, this is going to be good and it's going to be something satisfying to read". i like where all of their arcs have led them hugely

shiho & an also can go up here but i think there's a mild degree of seperation where there are a few events where i just walk away and go "ah that wasn't bad". but they have some of the best highs in the game so i have minimal problems with it.

characters who are all really great except for maybe one event that is anywhere between "fine i guess" and Bad with a capital B: airi, emu, honami, minori, ichika

i think it's fairly easy to identify the bad (mediocre) apple out of each of their events but aside from those i think everyone here has really lovely character work. honami has one of the best arcs in this game, airi's lineup is pretty jampacked with super emotion driven highs, ichika just has a really lovely journey to go on, emu is probably the character who has made me cry the most, and i think while some people have problems with "potential minori" (lol) a lot of her events have always really spoken with me. thumb.

i....hesitantly also put rui here. he's got more than one problem. backlit is well....it existed alright! inside direction, sorry friends it's still not doing it for me but if he does something crazy next focus i'll find it in my heart to forgive it for it's "calm before the storm" aura. and i honestly do not think i can let him go any higher with rmd in his repitoire. like yes it is some of my favorite character work they've ever done for him but it is. Also Revival My Dream. this concludes the rui kamishiro show.

tsukasa tenma. ohhhh tsukasa tenma tsukasa tenma what to do with you. i mean hell he's certainly doing something now so i suppose i can't fault him for too much. all the people i argued with at 15 were right. to a degree. To A Degree. but i also have a problem with the fact that colopale clearly figured out a format that's the "the tsukasa tenma money print practice acting" format and that's where we've sat. i miss wonder magical showtime.

SAKI! sits in the same place of, we are finally doing something but it took a longass time to get to the point where this is actually relevant. but i don't really think that's a problem like it was with tsukasa. it just took time to build her up to where she had to be. however i do honestly think my favorite saki event is still weaving precious memories, shrugs. i think with saki her emotions and character have always been very consistent and they absolutely strike where they need to though, and that is why i love her so much. (she could potentially slide above tsukasa but that kind of messes up my comment so)

kohane is a great character but frequently finds herself bearing the burden of "i have to be the guy to bring the full unit plot forward" which sometimes makes things a little awkard. but it's not like those events don't also have wonderful chara moments for her. awakening beat used to be one of my favorite events when i started, the bottom of the tree metaphor really stuck with me.

okay sorry toya. sorry man. your other events are excellent. well time to take off is kind of whatever. but go all out is like hanging out with the worst events in this game. i really hate go all out. on like. all fronts. heart emoji. and it's really hurting my opinion of you today especially after the wl3 volleyball fiasco. i wish you luck in your next event bro. concerto made me want to do drastic things can we hit that shit again. i do like you.

haruka kiritani sits in her now bedazzled throne of having an excellent arc. however it has not made me forget the first 4 years of the game after mmj mainstory (one of the best things sekai has ever written) where she did genuinel fuck all. but we're doing cool shit now. so it's.....okay?

i can support kanade yoisaki and her endeavors up until tone. beautiful stories with her family and the build to get to the point she was at in mainsto. but man its been 6 years and nothing has changed. yes she's a slow burn character but it's kind of ridiculous at this point lol.
