i think its kinda silly to classify entire rotations as good or bad bc like....they're entirely seperate pieces of music that's appples to oranges, so i've never understood that discussion. (happens on tiktok a lot especially). but here's my ranking (explanations in ask)

1 - Eleventh: honestly can't quantify why it's in first for me LOL. bad start, but i think it's just one of those pieces that really speaks to me. airi's "I won't run away from kindness!" made me really emotional the first time i heard it...

2 - Sono Oto ga Naru Nara: it's not the most musically profound song but it makes me happy. when i went to sekarai i said "hm. if i were to pick a l/n song i wanna hear most it'd probably be narunara" and then the show started and i heard the opening guitar and burst into tears and spent the rest of the song sobbing LMFAO. (and then they did a redux where ichisaki sang the chorus together in the mc and i started crying again:sob:)

5 - Polar Star: the prechorus almost made me cry the first time i heard it, especially with the 2dmv. i really hope they do this at a concert one day its soooo emotional and has great energy. honestly this was 5 on my first reranking here, then i got halfway through my relisten and it went to 5, and then i realized 2 more times and realized no this is top 3 material. i probably listen to sono e. no namae wa more but i think this song is such a strong piece it deserves it. who knows maybe you'll see me in 6 months and ill have this at #1 you never know

4 - Kono Manma de Ikou: I love purpose. I fucking love purpose. I love shiho with joy and whimsy. but something about the chorus is a little off. this solves that problem. everyone sounds fantastic here. will be looping until the end of time. also polyneed is so real

5 - Sono E no Namae wa: i will eat up a slow niigo song every single time. bonus points if minoringo is tearing the house down on it. I really like the tradeoff in the closing lines. i do look forward to ena alt bc i feel like miku is muddying some parts in the chorus. (sorry for being the victim of my swap)

6 - Kofukukei: i mean i think there's a reason this song did ridiculous numbers for recent standards. kanade's just always had great commissions, i feel like producers always know the right shit to do with her. great sounding song

7 - Kazatte: i feel bad bc kazatte was originally #3 here, and then it was 5, and then it was 6 and then-- i really really love kazatte. it's in the same as kimi no yoruwo kure, it's a very warm song and it reminds me why i love mizuki so much. i think if i were to point out the things moving it down for me though: 1, len. 2, the low-voiced male sample is a little jarring against niigo LMAO. i think the mizuki alt is perfection though and i thoroughly look forward to a full in what. 6 years

8 - Ari no Mama Story wo: IT'S SO CUTE. we are j-pop idoling like we have never before. i think all of mmj sound really great here. puts a big fat smile on your face. minori hanasato does not know how to miss

9 - Star: i think legally i can't put leo/need any lower than this. really like the breakdown in the final prechorus, whenever leoni does that you know its gonna be awesome. thank you ruriko noguchi for being insane and thank you leo/need for being the unit who most consistently has longer songs

10 - Yuke: incredible choice of genre for a nene commission, how haven't we done this sooner but. why the fuck is this sub 3:00. this is not the kind of song that can be sub 3:00. the whole thing honestly feels like its rushing, i feel like if we slowed this down by like 15-20%? perfect. either that or it needs some length padding. we do not need to make musical theater for tiktok attention span. other than that its amazing though. nene sounds fantastic, love the duo lines, honestly nobodys bad here, even rin (i actually think rin's chemistry w/ nene here is great, which isn't true for most songs when they try to do a really heavy double up on vs/focus) . most wondasho songs are not Theater and it makes me sad so i am glad we have this one

11 - FIGHTER: now i know this songs caused tussles but i quite enjoy when akito whips out an instrumental that sounds like it belongs in a home depot commercial, though tbh this ones more giving cars the movie. the vocals arent the best thing in the world but im willing to forgive it bc the energy is there and its fun to listen to. fuuuuuuu. i don't have beef all the other songs are just better

12 - All Save Challenge: Emu is fucking crazy in this. like actually. only reason it's landed this low is bc i think the duo chorus parts sound a little rough and there's a few other slightly awkward vocal parts. other than that fffuuucckkkk yes dude.

13 - Anata no Sora ga Naku no Nara: i wanna love this song more so bad. but meiko is kind of peeing all over it. all of mmj is excellent. but this is such a gentle song and meiko is . Not Gentle. so when shizuku is paired with her throughout the Entire Chorus Every Single Time (and the other members) its like okay. so i am getting none of this beautiful softness that i can HEAR TRYING TO COME THROUGH. bc i am just getting pierced by engine noise. i look forward to shizuku alt so i can cry. song is beautiful otherwise

14 - Kugutsu no Utsutsu: my fuckin bad. rui sounds excellent here. i love rui here. i will lose my shit when an alt comes out and i go lalalalala. i really like parts of this song! the prechorus is great. i heard that for the first time and went oh wow i love that. however, the reason for this ranking is lowkey personal beef mmpdfghjf it just happens to employ a lot of things i don't enjoy sonically. also im sorry but tsukasa is genuinely performing sabotage on vocals here

15 - Nihil-san: I honestly have zero beef i just think violence violence can only get you so far. I think the vocal direction is great i think the energy is also therOkay what am i doing i like this song im moving it up. sorry tsukasa. to use mari's terms it is kind of soundcloud rap but they pull it off well.

16 - Kousenka: i honestly am kind of in shock at myself. i do nothing but make fun of this song. but i relistened and was like....this? isn't as bad as i remember...? i mean the lyrics are shit but tbh i do not think you can do much with that event. kohane has some really good moments i guess i can overcome my differences

17 - Sayonara Tengoku, Mata Kite Jigoku: every time i think about this song i go yeah! i like it! the chorus is really fun, and it's got a good beat! before relistening i was gonna put this as top of wxs for this rotation! and then i relisten and go hm....idk if i do that much. its like. almost really good. but somethings holding it back and i dont even know what it is LMFAO. like i cannot pinpoint what i do not like here but also there is something. its not bad though by any means. i am glad tsukasa got john this song is fun. sorry it was my victim of my nihil-san swap i do not hate it that much

18 - Touka Suru Ondo: sorry this might get me stoned. but a) i feel like i expect more out of sasanomaly b) this whole song kind feels like its dragging? there isn't a point where i go, ah, the vocals are bad, the beat is bad etc. but i also am like "wow id rather be listening to be something to else" LOL. i don't hate it but it's not speaking to me. the little group part at the end is quite nice. its a cute, chiil little beat

19 - Accelerate. i know everyone and their mom has this opinion but man. i don't dislike it as much on the relisten but there is nothing particularly great about this one. i knew i wasnt gonna like this song from the outset bc i dont like override but yeah no this is not my thing whatsoever. i think awake now is a good example of a well done an power song. this ones kinda overdoing it and it feels sloppy

okay there is my comprehensive explanation hope you enjoyed. ill probably qrt with an opinion on honachan when she comes

so asahinamfy was an account on here who would post sekai leaks and the account got fucking massive. like 30 or 40k followers or something ridiculous like that it mightve been higher. back in ye olde days we would know the lineups of events around a month or two beforehand (colloquially referred to as the "no order" lineup) and this account would make "calendars" of when all the banners would be. sometimes they assumed a lineup wrong and it was really funny.

now, you may be going "but why was this bad". as i mentioned before, they got a MASSIVE following and it was to the point that every time they posted set leaks the prsk_leaks tag would start trending. which as you might imagine. Is Bad. considering that these are LEAKS that are being posted against company policy and create problems when they get attention. asahinamfy wasnt a dataminer, they just took everything that was being posted in sekaicord (sekai's unofficial eng discord if you are unaware) and reposted it or from wherever they scrounged up shit that day. if you consume modernday leaks and you notice that 3dmvs are marked with shit like "im a dirty reposter and yadda yadda" thats bc of asahinamfy LMFAO. because they would repost shit onto their account and people dont like their stuff going on twitter bc it opens them up further for getting into trouble

the problem with asahinamfy was basically that leaks were mostly kept in the circles they came from up until this point. there were some accounts that would post the changelogs or dialogue counts and such but otherwise it wasnt a widespead activity. because of this account leaks started getting major attention and after a certain amount of time of this going on, colopale blocked access from the review server, we were unable to view anything happening during maintenances and pretty much anything that would give us info before an hour before the gacha banner became entirely unaccessable. and while there were other factors especially leading to the final shutdown, it is largely because of asahinamfy and surrounding accounts. so people hold beef because knowing lineups and such a month ahead was really helpful for planning so it fucking sucked to lose. and also just like. if youre like me and do spreadsheets and shit its just annoying to lose access to helpful tools. we have workarounds now though.

TLDR: asahinamfy was a leak repost account who got way too much attention and caused the loss of early leaks

tbh like i said in my last ask it’s pretty hard to tell LMFAO. wxs is the great splay of unpredictability. in my head the way its playing out rn is: we get asahi back from super hell, we get sakaki’s grand overseas trip plan, asahi either tags along or goes off on his own for the foreseeable future. then it gets weird bc it’d really depend on what sakaki’s overseas plans entail, bc depending on what it is there’s a very large chance it’s just training arc…..Again. but i think the important thing for them to cover here is the scope of the “world” which i do think is part of what tobidase was trying to cover beyond the doppelganger nonsense. it does make me sad we’ve still never gotten an event about set design or really. what goes into a show. At All. because shocker: theater isn’t just get the role and act the role really hard until it’s time to act the role for real. was so glad deeper & deeper covered writing. because how did we go that long with only a single side story to attest to our script writing side of things. idk im generally always disappointed with wondasho’s representation of theater LMFAO. but the floor is widdeeeee open for these guys. they can go anywhere or do anything

WHO EVEN KNOWS ANYMORE MAN. ngl ive never cared about the arcland conflict coming back but i guess i kinda have to now what with asahi pulling an arata and literally running away to god knows where. i mean he obviously seems to be having some sort of parallel arc with realizing he wants friends to stand alongside and whatnot, but idk how they’ll approach it. last event they are like “go find himself man.” so…..maybe? we gotta go track down this freak. i do like the mental image of the parallel arc but also what the fuck can rui do about this. yeah he can provide some personal wisdom but it’s not like he can be twilight sparkle and be like You Can Come With Us And Make Friends ♥️ other thing on the forefront of my mind is sakaki’s overseas offer which . in regards to the offer i do hope they go to see something like west end theater and not broadway. i feel like we talk so much about broadway. there are other huge theater hotspots around the world. i do sorta get stuck on where rui’s arc would be in an event like this though, unless sakaki’s like. evil as fuck or something and is like 😏only some of you can go😏 but that makes zero sense. i feel like an event about choosing to go overseas would be more properly given to….anybody else in the unit but i don’t know how much longer we can keep dragging the “oh they’re done with the workshop but they’re STILL AT ARCLAND AND IN TALKS ABOUT THIS!” shtick. but i think the asahi thing is more likely cause that’s rui’s dedicated npc bug.
