while i am also a certified yearner lover, i think my answer would prob have to be his relationship with selfishness. it’s something that makes me siiiccckkk. like it was so ingrained in his head that he’s a liability that literally anything that isn’t beating him over the head with rocks he’s like “wow. how selfish i am. how dare i not want to be sad”. but as he struggles to find a way for wondasho to be together he realizes those feelings don’t have to be something he hates…i he can try being more selfish…and i think ive talked enough about selfishness in disband arc enough so ill keep that brief but i did also want to loop around to main story bc tokishun brought it up in the 5th anni talk and it reminded me. like, this isn’t entirely his selfishness and more how he gets stuck in his head about that stuff but, in main story there is a very obvious wall rui puts up between the rest of wxs and himself, he was ready to tail it out of wxs as soon as he felt nene would be okay, he never intended to stay. but wxs drag him back, and show him that he can live here and be okay everything starts to change around him. tokishun was talking about how rui tends to get stuck on the actual Doing because he wants to solve everything on his own in his head (because he thinks it’s a burden to put his feelings onto others) but wxs shove him outside his comfort zone and make him feel like he can go “i can try this!” because they’re by his side….that it’s okay to be selfish 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ which i think is awesome. i’m cutting myself here i could go on way longer but i think im going on a tangent

the lion desperately wants rui one on one interactions with leo/need. rui & saki mix would make me the happiest girl in the world i think. ichika, like everyone and their mother, id love to see gardening event!!! i drew some card concepts for that a few years ago and im still obsessed. shiho is definitely the combo i think has the most story potential…the Loner Yearnersssss, the being scouted, the moving forward towards your dream with the people you love the most etc. would be awesome. i do think the window for a really good honami & rui mix has passed but i would still be ever so happy, i was so sad when he was only briefly involved in readaloud😭😭😭 proper ichihona ruinene would’ve been peak. i’m also a huge blue team fan so ill always take more of them but that’s just being a bit greedy after cheer squad & lsh…

okay theres my essay

mmm i think in the wrap up they'll touch on the offer but i honestly can't see the offer being big enough to substantiate a whole event. cause rui doesn't need 8 episodes to choose his friends anymore LOL. spoilers but sakaki does mention a potential overseas offer incredibly offhand so, i dont think they'll do anything vbs scale without wl to interrupt event flow, but i could see an event or two about exploring west end or something (to. avoid new york 2). but tbh its really hard to see where wxs will go until we finish up with arcland because theyre sooooooo open ended they could literally do anything, i feel like all this rising action w/ sakaki and asahi and arcland and shit is gonna reach somewhere interesting next event for the joint stuff, and that'll open up a clear path hopefully lol. we've trained up so we're on parr with arcland so where is this goiiingggg

dainnnnn. waves hand. i think theres a lot they could do tbh. d&d opens up a lot of possibilities for him considering the whole "freeing yourself" thing. before d&d i thought they were gonna lock in on the "i want to make everyone shine in a way that only i can" stuff from shunmeiza (also i'll bring out your strength stamp moment) but im really glad they moved to rui making idk. himself shine first. hard to phrase. point is you can't work on others until you work on yourself. i think its kinda hard to pinpoint anything rn bc we don't know where wondasho are going after arcland/training stuff ends but i think it would be nice to see more on what it means to make things for yourself instead of primarily for an audience. (which weirdly ties back to wl2 too. with it opening on the "more...more..something that will make the audience stare...something that will make the audience smile"). lyss unsuprisingly wants more rui being selfish moments. d&d sorta satisfied my main wants of both rui being challenged in a way that requires him to reevaluate everything, and also being an event where he opens himself up more to others emotionally lol
