what would you say to a person who says “i wish i could love in a quieter manner. i worry that i'll overwhelm. i don't understand how to make what i feel smaller” 🥺
I would tell them that love is supposed to be loud. That you should be able to hear it from a distance and feel it when they’re not there.
I would tell them I would never want them to shrink themselves for me.
And I would tell them that I have always liked my music loud, and my feelings big.
