makrung is very serious business to me but i don't think they were talking badly, it's a pretty common joke/belief that mk's crush is one sided (and i think that's half true lmao, i think hr DOES care very deeply about mk but probably doesn't say it often whereas mk is usually pretty open and honest in his feelings which is why it can feel "one sided") imo i think hr was laughing not because he doesn't take mk's feeling seriously, but because hr is just generally really Bad at being vulnerable and saying his feeling aloud so he felt awkward. but people will always makes jokes like that because that's how their dynamic is, i wouldn't take it to heart
