To answer your question, my favorite part has been getting carried away with worldbuilding that I forgot why I even wrote fairy gyu in the first place! 😭

A small but not so-small trivia — fairy gyu began from a smut draft of Soobin meeting Zhang Hao and Beomgyu at the edge of the meadow and Zhang Hao being overprotective of Beomgyu but Soobin ends up fucking Beom and Hao goes MAD. They get caught in a barn and the smut was nasty af. I wanted to publish it so bad but I didn’t wanna just put out a p w/o plot to the community so I thought ok I’ll try to think of a plot. I got stuck FOR DAYS wanting to give up on the story altogether until I rediscovered the word “erudite” and I was like hell yeah I’m gonna make Soobin THAT. So I built his character and visualized his home. Beomgyu came soon after since I thought a good character to be paired with this composed scholar was a bubbly pure-hearted one! And so, I’m 20k words in and there’s no explicit smut anymore and the draft it sprung from is now discarded (maybe) 😭
