love to hate is easy. it's unfortunately a very destructive love and I get really mad by the time I'm done, but I was a fucking GROUND FLOOR HATER of bioshock infinite. all those people who were like "wow the opinion of bioshock infinite sure turned negative over the past few years" don't get it. first of all, I hated that game DAY ONE but also peoples opinions on it started to shift fast the further in they got because media literacy isn't entirely dead, just mostly dead

as for a game I hate to love?

red dead redemption 2. I love that game so much. I adore it. I've put over 1000 hours into the singleplayer alone. it has some of the most dogshit controls I've ever dealt with in a game I wouldn't outright call bad, rockstar's mission design is still fundamentally incompatible with open world design, a bunch of that game is just outright cut content, it has some really weird issues with the Irish that sure seem to be in GTA and RDR1 as well, but I love it still
