for your substack, I'd love to see you analysing your works!!! me personally I could probably write an essay on lie in wait lmao, but if you're up to it would you consider like... taking out excerpts of your fic and kind of analysing the wording? just because I find author intention so interesting.
ahh this is so nice!! i'd be open to this, but similarly to my last answer, if i'm being super honest (and i'm kind of self concious about this LMAO) 99% of the time i don't know what i am doing when i write. like, i know i'm writing something to have some sort of impact (?), but i'm not great at placing my words to why i'm writing the way i am besides "it just felt like it should be written like that", and i don't know the specific terms for any of the devices i use in my work. sometimes i don't even know what i'm writing is a technique at all until someone tells me so LMAO. so i am afraid if i tried to write something analytical like that it would come off as clumsy and childish because i am really. not. that advanced of a writer. idk HH this is just my initial thoughts on this, but maybe there would be something to say if i went back and read through a fic like LIW. i dunno.
