hi hal! i wanted to ask how much kpop content do you consume per week? is it on a daily basis? weekly? or just whenever you have time? and do you watch everything, or almost everything, that each of your groups put out? i am pretty new to kpop and trying to keep up with everything is sometimes a struggle.....
hope you are having a lovely day/night!! <3
hello!! i def don’t watch everything for every group. it just depends on what im feeling and what grabs my attention. i tend to watch most variety content (like going seventeen type shows). i watch vlogs sometimes. during comeback time i watch whatever promo variety shows they do or whatever. i def don’t watch anything im not interested in and ive def quit vlogs halfway thru bc i get bored LMAO. you don’t need to consume everything to be a real fan. i get the highlights on twt and then watch what is interesting to me! the only group i ever watched EVERYTHING for was loona. but that has. ceased. for obvious reasons.
hi! sorry if someone asked this already but im very curious, im a new writer and i was wondering how long does it take you to write your own fics? i see you’ve published so much work and im literally in awe and fascinated! i’ve ready some of your &team fics and they were all so good, keep up the great work🫶🏼
ur good!! it depends on the day and fic LOL. i’m a generally fast writer. if im really booking it i can write 1200 words in 30 minutes, but my normal pace is probably like 500-700 words in 30 minutes. the most words per day i’ve maxed out at is 15k while i was in a stressed stupor studying for the bar exam. but uhhhhh yeah idk it depends. my latest 80k fic took me about a month and a half. keep in mind that i have a full time job. if i were unemployed my numbers could be WAY UP!!! but sadly i need money to live. i wish i could write fic all day. i’ve written pretty much every day since march of 2023, and i just haven’t really stopped so. yeah! thank you so much!!
so curious, does ur family know u write fanfiction? how vocal are you about it in ur daily life? jsut bc writing fanfiction is such a hobby of mine and takes up so much of my life, but when my parents ask me what im doing i have no idea what ot say
they do!! i'm 28 and i havent lived w my parents in a long time but yeah they've known for a while. they're both very impressed with my book binding and my mom loves to brag about it to her friends LMAO. neither of them understand why i dont try to make money off writing, which i think is a very gen x way of viewing a hobby. when brighter days trended on twitter i told my dad about it and he was like 'you do that for free???" and i told my mom i raised like 300$ for a charity thing w writing and she was like "why dont you publish for money" like omg diva bc that sucks the fun out of it!!! but yeah they know. i'm open with everyone about it irl besides like, my coworkers. they don't need to know about that. i've told like one of my coworkers that i write fic but not what kind of fic and that was because i know she's a similarly fandom minded person LMAO. but i'm very much not ashamed of my fic, i'm proud of it! and i'm proud of all the words i've published!! so yeah-- long winded answer to say yes everyone knows and they're all chill w it! my parents are both liberal and open minded, which def probably helps. i'm not sure what your situation is!
Oppositiongate has gotten me thinking about &team as attorneys (insert the "look at my Lawyer, dawg, i'm going to jail" meme here). I don't think any of them would ever pursue a legal career but idgaf so I was wondering if you could rank the members on the basis of who would be the best and worst attorneys/legal professional staff. Bonus points for reasoning <3 THANK YOUUUU
LOLLL ok. ok i always think about this. i agree that i don't think any of them would pursue a legal career-- which is kind of fun/interesting because i can usually pick out one or two in every group i like. but, regardless, here's my ranking/reasoning based on how i'd write them in fic
from most to least likely to be in law:
1. Fuma - if i had to pick someone to be a lawyer, it's going to be him. irl, i don't think it makes any sense, but for au purposes, i think you can mold him into that shape. he def wouldn't be in criminal. maybe transactional (kind of like me) or corporate. maybe probate ? or estate planning. nothing court heavy though.
2. Euijoo - he's not a lawyer, he's a paralegal. it wasn't his dream, but it's a good, steady job, and now he does it LMAO. i don't think he'd make it thru law school in any universe.
3. Yudai - he's bad at being a lawyer but really good at talking to people and it bridges the gap.
4. Maki - i think he'd KILLLLL as a paralegal. all the middle aged lady paralegals would love him so much. he'd be everyone's favorite coworker. if he locked in and went to law school he'd probably be alright as a lawyer, but he'd probably not want the pressure, so paralegal is the path for him.
5. Jo - now we're in territory where i feel like they'd never do it no matter what. Jo doesn't talk enough. Lawyers talk a lot. they talk all the time. even lawyers who only do non-client facing stuff have to talk all the time. he'd survive, but there's just not really that vibe about him
6. Harua - he could be a paralegal maybe. I don't think he'd like doing anything in the law.
7. Yuma - he could also be a paralegal that all the middle aged ladies love but he just doesn't care enough to. he'd rather be loved by middle aged ladies at the club.
8. Nico - love nico so much. he'd hate being a lawyer. he'd get thru one day of law school and drop out. he might leave halfway thru day one. he wouldn't ever do it unless he was trying to prove something to someone, and even then he'd eventually decide it's not worth it and bounce.
9. Taki - self explanatory
for your substack, I'd love to see you analysing your works!!! me personally I could probably write an essay on lie in wait lmao, but if you're up to it would you consider like... taking out excerpts of your fic and kind of analysing the wording? just because I find author intention so interesting.
ahh this is so nice!! i'd be open to this, but similarly to my last answer, if i'm being super honest (and i'm kind of self concious about this LMAO) 99% of the time i don't know what i am doing when i write. like, i know i'm writing something to have some sort of impact (?), but i'm not great at placing my words to why i'm writing the way i am besides "it just felt like it should be written like that", and i don't know the specific terms for any of the devices i use in my work. sometimes i don't even know what i'm writing is a technique at all until someone tells me so LMAO. so i am afraid if i tried to write something analytical like that it would come off as clumsy and childish because i am really. not. that advanced of a writer. idk HH this is just my initial thoughts on this, but maybe there would be something to say if i went back and read through a fic like LIW. i dunno.
if you were to apply one literary theory to each of your &t fics which ones would you choose :o
hello! what are some of your fav music releases (kpop and non-kpop) so far this year?
saw you’re writing 🍓🍊 again and cried out tears of joy this is so srs to me
i wish i could be in every fandom you write for so i can experience your fics about my ships all the time!!!!. call me greedy. forever and eternally grateful you chose to write gut-wrenchingly beautiful works about ncej and gyubrik tho <3 your every fic is the best i’ve ever read for any ship and in any category and i’m not even kidding
hi hal! what code do you use to alter your text to make it smaller and bracketed with the line thinds? for example in brighter days, when there's the whole ad thing... or when you're introducing a prompt for a fest? thank you!
