lawyering/legal education has definitely helped my writing but writing fic has not helped my lawyering LMAO. we write a LOT in law school/law in general. I'm a really fast typer and my brain has been hammered into legal think which is helpful for a lot of things in general like problem solving and coming up w answers to plot problems. but the kind of writing i do at work isn't really served by my fic writing, but i don't mind that i like having a hobby completely separate from work!
