hihi!! i had spoken about this a little on my mainpriv which u might have seen but i think my main thing (and this is just as a community thing not for me individually) is to engage with fics! authors love to talk about their fics bc we put so much into our characters and things. like yeah if you like fics def comment on them!! and share them with other people. Tell people why you like them. if you ever have questions about specifics of fics or characters authors are usually v receptive to that as well!! just showing that you are into their world too!!! like i def dont want to be pressured to write because that has the opposite effect, but yeah i think my big thing is that i'd feel more supported in carat fandom if people were excited that i wrote the fics i did rather than waiting for something new to read and then also forget about. but again this is just from my pov i know a lot of people care for specific fics a lot! i just dont think the fandom is good at engaging with fanwork in the same way other fandoms are!
