it is a part of chasing sunlight (jyke fic). but the yvnki part is just as important like it Makes the whole story. anyway dont read this answer if you want a spoiler free reading experience for chasing sunlight lol
anyway basically yvnki were best friends as teens after rk moved to the small conservative town jk lives in and then they become super close and jk has feelings for rk, rk does for jk too but SUPPRESSES the hell outta that shit bc they all are very involved in the church and met at youth group. anyway rk ends up committing bc hes so depressed and his family life sucks (his mom is ill and his dad is just awful) and it fucks jk up for life basically until he meets jy aww
