its been in my own brain for a while now, sooo uhm whats your thoughts about demon minho x angel jisung :))

so, actually, i don't really have any thoughts about demon minho x angel jisung specifically. i think i like demon minho x human jisung, but when it comes to demons and angels i have a very different take to what i usually see on my tl. i prefer angel minho x demon jisung, and i like the idea of portraying demons as something relatably imperfect (since humans are born with sin, i love the idea that sin is human). so like, demons understand and accept moral ambiguity, they're messy and self indulgent but not because they have any ill intent, rather because they don't even subscribe to the black and white thinking of pure good vs pure evil, rather they focus on feeling and experiencing life and all it has to offer, the good the bad and the ugly, the nuance and the finer details. in contrast, angels are morally absolute. they're relentless, controlling, rigid, apathetic. they justify violence, torture, death, if it's in the name of their cause, they judge and condemn. they only care for order and punishment, for correction and obedience. because they are divine, and act from a superior standpoint, they lack humanity. the book of job is something i'm idly combing through in my spare time bcs i think it makes some interesting points to support this take, and i have been thinking about an angel minho who views demon jisung as worthless, dirty, corrupt by his own standards. he's a hypocrite, a sadist with the perfect guise, all angels are. poor little demon jisung finds himself at minho's mercy, and learns very quickly that minho isn't capable of such a concept. i'd love to play with the philosophy of demons x angels when i do venture into writing it!!
