Insight is definitely going to beat The Doormans word count
yeah who knows! the doorman had some pretty long chapters which made it so hefty, but insight is ready to show what it can do 🏁 though i'm always of the opinion that a big word count doesn't make a story good. it can be justified if the narrative requires it! but in itself, it doesn't do much

Hi ev, how are you doing? I am planning to reread The Doorman again, while I eagerly wait for the next chapter of insight ^o^ . I really like the way you write! It feels like im watching this crazily good plottastic movie! hehehehehe I hate coming on twitter because people tend to ruin the fun for everyone else and its mentally exhausting sometimess :(( so Im so glad that I get to consume art of the people I love in different forms like reading fics (^O^) How many chapters do you think insight would go to? hi you! today is actually the 4 year anniversary of the doorman's first chapter! the adventure started on this day, so it’s actually the perfect time to reread it 💜 wow does time fly, feels like it wasn’t that long ago that i outlined it. i kept the story a secret until i posted it and i never expected people to like it to the extent that they did. but i got very lucky, since sweet little things like you are also still rereading it! 🫶
my betas are hard at work reading the next insight chapter, and i will post it as soon as i have their comments. i've moved on to writing chapter 8, which i hope to update a little faster. at this time, i estimate insight to be around 15 chapters, but this may yet change. there is definitely a lot of storylines to resolve before the end 😂
and thank you so much for reading my stories and also for your kind words! twitter has indeed changed a lot over the years, and it is not good for me either, if i use it a lot. ao3 is our best friend 🙏 wishing you a wonderful week too!

Since you've outlined the later chapters of insight, have you done the same for solitary motions too? Or are you going in blind for it? With zero planning?
the general outline is clear, i know how the story will unfold and where it will end! but just like with insight, i leave myself artistic freedom to figure out the details as i go. insight requires a bit more planning since it’s a murder mystery and plot-heavy. solitary motions is ambitious as well, but a little more straightforward. and nasty as hell!! that i can tell you. that part’s been outlined punctiliously 😝

Hii !! Just read your latest interaction with that anon. And it made my chest warm in the best way. It's nice that in this fast-paced world and in difficult times we find beauty and peace in the little moments. It also reminds me of of something I read a while ago, that defended people who were always trying to romanticize their entire lives pretending that they were perfect. It said that romanticizing life was not necessarily a bad thing, because life is actually about finding beauty in ordinary things. Just wanted to tell you that you are one of the things that bring me comfort and peace. Not just your excellent and brilliant writing, but you as a person as well. I love reading your interactions with anons in here because it's always interesting and refreshing to hear about your thoughts and opinions. this is so nice of you, thank you!! 🥹 look at all of us making each other feel a little bit better about our lives. that’s just it, though: i think the baseline for happiness is created with consistent efforts to pause for a moment and notice/appreciate the small things, no matter how mundane they are. and again, replying to these kinds of messages is one of those moments for me, because it is a sincere human interaction with someone i don’t know in person that still puts a smile on my face and makes my day better. so it goes both ways here, most definitely 💜 i hope you have a nice week too and i look forward to posting the new chapter (once i’m allowed 🤭)!

Hi ev, how are you doing these days? How's life treating you? For me, life suddenly got so busy so I am feeling kinda overwhelmed. It's been two months at my new job now . Work is work but I am trying new hobbies, recently starting sketching . I'm shit at it but it like it. Also I have a crush at someone from work. He kinda reminds me of you. He is sweet and cute, doesn't talk shit about others. He also has very pretty eyes. And the thought of seeing him once a day makes the work bearable. The sight of his back fills me up with warthm in these cold winter days.
Anyways how's your significant other doing? Are they doing well ?
Btw I am the anon who once sent you a rant that my life sucks , my new job sucks , and how you soothe me , etc ...
Are you enjoying the weather nowadays? Here winter is slowly creeping round the corners asking me to bundle myself up in a blanket and not leave my room. What else, oh yeah I am learning to cook and I am kinda pretty good . If I ever met you in real life (i know i will , my intuition game is pretty strong) , i will cook your favorite food for you .

so nice to hear back from you! i can relate heavily to feeling overwhelmed, i’ve been very busy too. i am familiar with my job and know what i’m doing (most of the time) but this fall introduced some new challenges and responsibilities that i wasn’t entirely prepared for. so, i’ve been working very long days and losing sleep over work on occasion, worried about my own abilities to stay on top of my tasks. it has been like that for me, too ❤️🩹
but having a crush is so cute! it is such a delicate yet precious feeling, so i hope that it can bring many exciting moments to your work days. is he single? have you thought about approaching him? or are you not supposed to date your colleagues? my s.o. is doing well, we are awaiting the annual cancer check-up, but so far, no new symptoms have appeared. who knows, maybe we are in the clear...? 🙏
i would honestly love it if you cooked for me, because i am terrible in the kitchen 😭 currently waiting for boo to come downstairs so that we can cook together because if it’s just myself, it’s cheese, wine, and bread. winter is arriving here too, and the nights are below zero. today i rummaged through the closet for my candles and untangled my christmas lights. soon, soon.
