hello. i know you said that you will be mostly focusing on insight for the time being. but every once in a while i wake up in a cold sweat remembering the existence of somo. and i feel like a monk rn or maybe some other meditating and patient being. i really, really love those characters. i love them so much i think of somo jimin and i want to jump up so high that i reach the clouds or smth cuz damn is he so freaking amazing.
but take your time though. wine is always better when it's fermented for years right? so take your time and take it easy! i just wanted to let u know i'm waiting.
funny that you should mention it because i’m writing somo chapter 3 right now 🙂↕️ it’s fully outlined, dialogue is mostly finished, and i’m working on the rest whenever i can; i just fixed some parts on the treadmill lol. i will be returning to insight but not before getting this chapter out. the frustrating part for both of us is that i no longer have idle time to write; i used to, when i was in a different stage of my life, but now there are different things to prioritize. so, my writing progress tends to be slow and i get a little rusty between sessions. but i’ll 🥢 myself before i let my wips die 😌 or somo jimin!! JIMIN 💘💘💘
i appreciated this message a lot, it was really precious of you to send it 💜 i hope you have a beautiful day & the time you still have to wait goes by quickly because you’re so locked in to your meditative patience, you won’t notice time’s passing at all!

I havent started somo, but is it an alt universe where ppl are a mix of robot and human? Why do they have the necessity to modify their bodies? Or is it like a futuristic dysto world where our biology cant survive the planets conditions? I am so excited! Should I just read instead of spinning theories??
i suppose it’s a combination of everything you described just now! a futuristic dystopia for sure, though still very much attached to our world and desperately holding onto what used to be natural and authentic. it explores body modification through cyberware, AI companionship, and ownership of one’s own body. i am working on the next chapter slowly, but knowing my irl schedule, there is no telling when i will be able to update. so i don’t know if i can, in good conscience, recommend reading any of my wips right now 😂 but fingers crossed, they will all be finished one day 💜

Did you have an inspo for the unguided world ? Why military, why underground, why dystopia? I love it so much
there wasn’t anything specific, if i recall! i’ve just always loved exploring dystopian worlds and societies of strict hierarchy and oppression, where the natural character of the human being still strives to bloom and be free like a flower growing through the cracks in concrete. there is something irresistibly hopeful about two people falling in love in an environment where the odds are against them and everything is only cold, hard, and depressing. so, i really loved writing the story as well 🫶

thank you so much, that is so nice of you to say 💜 though i think i must disappoint you, because i’m pretty certain i’m writing my last two fics right now. never say never, of course, but i don’t see myself starting new stories after i finish my current wips. luckily our community has so many incredible writers, there will never be a lack of fantasy fics 🙏
