i fear this is only because i never post anything these days so the few words that i do give you guys have much more of an impact than they should hahaha 🤭 there shouldn’t be such a big wait between chapters 7 and 8 though, because i have been working on multiple chapters at the same time during this accidental hiatus, so hopefully this fall/winter will bring us many more insane moments! love you too 🫶

How often do you think about unguided? I think about it everyday. Do you think tae is happy now?
i really hope so 🫶 i think he is the type of character who will always be haunted by the past, but who can find pure gratitude and happiness in small moments of love. i just thought about him recently when i outlined a new fic inspired by the movie civil war (2024); i have wanted to write one ever since i saw the film, but i don’t have enough time to write 😔 but i would love to write another soldier tae (paired with photojournalist jk). maybe one day!

i was just working on it today 💜 i had a tough week following some new job responsibilities (which will fortunately be reflected in my paycheck lol) so it was nice being able to sit down by my laptop and do stuff for me for a change. i appreciate you cheering me on and being with me on this journey 🫶 it was always going to be a long one, so it’s nice to have company!
there isn’t a lot that i can share but maybe...
He turns his gaze back to his phone, swiping distractedly through his contacts. Despite not expecting an answer, he still decides to call Jeongguk once. Indeed, the call cuts off after half a beep, replaced by an automatic message: In a meeting. It is the only response that Jeongguk ever uses. Namjoon could try him again, but he would have a better chance at making Hong Jinae laugh.
Jeongguk rarely ever calls back.
Another message makes Taehyung’s phone buzz.
Can I call you back?
No. He doesn’t reply, locking his phone and placing it face down on his desk.

Hi. I hope you're well. I'm re-reading the doorman at this moment to spend the time until the next insight update. I read it like two? years ago. I have only like three chapters left. But girllllllll!!!! Re-reading this just reminded me of how extraordinary and impressive of a writer you are. Seriously, even though I had already read the doorman my mouth has been open more times than I can count because it's just perfect perfect perfect ✨✨✨ seriously you ARE A MASTERMIND 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏and I'm glad that I found your stories🙏 just wanted to let you know
thank you so much!! 😭 i feel very undeserving of this kindness but i’ll take a humble bow 💜 i keep thinking that i wish i had the same time in my hands now that i did when i wrote the doorman, but then again, most of that story was written when either myself or someone i loved was going through a hard time. i think everything from chapter 13 onwards was written while watching my s.o. sleep, because there was serious concern that their body was going to shut down due to their illness and aggressive treatment. i would stop writing a sentence just to make sure that they were still breathing. i write sooo much slower now bc i am busy and preoccupied in a good way, but i hope that my chaotic brain can still write stories that are just as entertaining. again, thank you so much, this message really touched my heart in the warmest way. i will write a couple of paragraphs just for you today 🫶

true story: the moment i got this notif in my phone, my irl friend was sitting on my couch with a wine glass in her hand, berating me (very vocally!!) for not having updated in so long 😂 i def got put in my place there haha so i appreciate these gentle words of encouragement a lot! thank you, thank you 💜 i wrote a bit for insight today and intend to write more tomorrow, so little by little, one paragraph at a time, it all comes together 🙏

i’m rereading it too 💜 gotta keep reminding myself of all the details i need to remember as i write the next few chapters... i am slowly working on chapter 7 but i keep getting distracted and find myself outlining chapter 12 or something 😂 sorry 🥲 i hope it will pay itself back one day... it’s a big story and i don’t want to mess it up by accident 😭 the hug is very much appreciated, i will eventually return it to you in the form of a new update 🫶 again, sorry about the long wait!
