they are my special boys :))))) there are so many things i love about them let me try and articulate:
1. jeongin as a mirror for chan. he is his little shadow who chan made in his image and who modeled himself after chan and i am very compelled by the way he has always looked up to him, by the way chan helped shape him, by the faith chan had in him from such a young age but also how he was hard on him specifically bc he saw his potential.
2. oldest x youngest age gap. really delicious way to explore chan’s guilt about coming to terms with finding innie attractive now that he’s all grown up, when he always saw him as his little baby before. on the flip side, innie desperately trying to convince chan to take him seriously/see him as an adult now.
3. jeongin’s deep desire to take care of chan vs chan’s refusal to let himself be taken care of. innie wants to be someone he can rely on, chan wants to never be a burden to anyone especially his youngest. conversely, jeongin’s desire to be good for chan, to submit fully to him and receive his praise. the d/s switch potential is huge.
