The blog post made it sound like Linode was great to work with during the attack. Would you still pick them if starting over from scratch, and has the Akamai acquisition noticeably changed anything?
Linode has generally been pretty good to me, and outside of their one big misstep in this I'm pretty satisfied. The only reason I'd consider moving is price (iirc DO is cheaper now, Linode raised their prices post-Akamai buyout) and that Linode in general seems to be stagnating. But as far as their support team goes, yeah, they're good.
